GTA 6 will introduce us to fresh faces of Jason and Lucia, but in the familiar setting of Vice City. This neon-soaked haven previously played host to the rise of Tommy Vercetti, a brash, hot-tempered, and razor-sharp criminal who defied the mob and lived to tell the tale. His supporting act included an ensemble of memorable characters, any of whom could be the perfect candidate to make an appearance in Rockstar’s upcoming title. With that being said, we’re willing to wager that it’s the weasly Ken Rosenberg who ends up returning instead. Keep reading to find out why.
Why Ken Rosenberg?
The primary reason why the neurotic lawyer is our pick to return in GTA 6 is his knack for survival. Despite being the farthest thing from a hardened wiseguy, Ken Rosenberg managed to hang with the likes of Tommy Vercetti and rub shoulders with the criminal underworld.

His relationship with Vice City’s protagonist wasn’t exactly cordial either, as you could literally spot Rosenberg sweating bullets around Tommy, even with the low-poly visuals. He was also able to escape Tommy’s clutches and move to San Andreas, where he eventually ended up working with CJ.
The last time we saw Rosenberg, he was pretending to be an artist manager and hanging out with Madd Dogg. While his drug addiction had hit an all-time high by this point, it did seem like the nervous wreck of a human had finally found some purpose in life. But if there’s one thing GTA has taught us, it’s that no one ever truly walks away from the game.
Rosenberg’s departure from Tommy’s orbit and his move westward to San Andreas gave him just enough distance to start over, but not nearly the mileage required to leave the criminal life behind entirely. His appearance in San Andreas made it clear that the character is still at the precipice of chaos, just in different colors.
Additionally, he’s a known quantity with fans, who will undoubtedly rave over the reappearance of a legacy character. If GTA 6 plans to mix nostalgia into its modern-day reimagining of Vice City, bringing Rosenberg back just makes narrative sense.
What Role Could Ken Rosenberg Play in GTA 6?
The recurring GTA character could serve as the perfect bridge between the past and the present. He’s got firsthand knowledge of the Vice City underworld, connections in multiple states, and a tendency to resurface when things get messy.

His return also makes for an intriguing narrative device – either as a relic of the old era who can’t get over the glory days, or a comic relief fumbling his way through another criminal empire in the making. Just like CJ and Tommy before him, our protagonists could start off tolerating Ken out of pity, before eventually reaching their wits’ end with him.
Either way, it makes perfect sense for Ken to be pulled back into the coral-hued madness of Vice City one last time. And in case you’re wondering why we don’t think Tommy Vercetti could be primed for a return, the passing of the character’s iconic voice actor, Ray Liotta, complicates matters quite a bit. After all, nobody can replace Ray.
