  • Jacob Elordi as The Monster
  • Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza
  • Christoph Waltz as Harlander

Victor Frankenstein is the main protagonist of the film, who is fascinated by Science. He is the eldest son of Leopold Frankenstein in the film. After enrolling at the university in Ingolstadt, Victor gets obsessed with the concept of overcoming death. So, he studied anatomy and chemistry and eventually ended up creating a monster using several body parts. However, after the grotesque creature comes to life, Victor, disgusted by his appearance, abandons him.

Oscar Isaac portrays Victor in Frankenstein 2025, and considering his roles in projects like Ex Machina and Dune, it is safe to say that the actor excels at maintaining a charismatic exterior while portraying tormented and layered characters. Isaac is well-recognized for portraying some notable characters throughout his acting journey. These include Llewyn Davis in Inside Llewyn Davis, Marc Spector/Moon Knight in Moon Knight, and more.

Christian Convery will be seen as the young Victor. He is mainly recognized for his titular role in the Netflix series, Sweet Tooth.

2. Jacob Elordi as The Monster

The Monster is an eight-foot-tall humanoid creature brought to life by Victor Frankenstein through a scientific process. After getting abandoned by its master, the Monster seeks belongingness and love, and the rejection by its creator drives its emotional arc in the film. While the major details about Elordi’s monster are kept hidden to maintain suspense, we do know that the 2025 film will feature a monster shorter than the one in the novel, as the actor is 6’5”.

Jacob Elordi is a 28-year-old actor who rose to prominence after appearing in The Kissing Booth and Euphoria. His role in the latter showcases the actor’s ability to portray a complex character, so it’s no wonder the role of the ‘Monster’ in 2025 Frankenstein is in good hands.

3. Mia Goth as Elizabeth Lavenza

Elizabeth Lavenza is described to us differently in different editions of the novel. For instance, some present her as an orphaned daughter of a nobleman, while some portray her as Victor’s cousin, who is raised alongside him. Elizabeth and Victor are showcased as childhood companions who eventually get involved romantically. However, Victor’s obsessiveness towards the creation of the monster leads them to go their separate ways.

Mia Goth has previously worked in some of the critically acclaimed films across genres, including horror. She is capable of conveying the raw vulnerability and inner strength of a fictional character, and that’s the primary reason why she is the perfect choice for Elizabeth Lavenza’s role in Frankenstein cast.

4. Christoph Waltz as Harlander

Unlike the previous Frankenstein cast members on this list, Harlander has nothing to do with the universe created by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. He is a character who is specifically crafted to be a part of del Toro’s version of Frankenstein. According to the description, he is a wealthy arms dealer and one of Victor Frankenstein’s strongest allies. That’s because he provides our protagonist with the financial and logical support to back up his scientific aspirations.

Christopher Waltz is an Oscar-winning actor who has given us some of the top-notch characters, including Hans Landa (Inglourious Basterds), Alan Cowen (Carnage), and more.

5. Felix Kammerer as William Frankenstein

William Frankenstein is the youngest brother of Victor, who is featured as a minor but pivotal character in the source material. Despite his obsession with science and death, Victor never fails to show affection to William; in fact, his love for his little brother is unmatched.

Felix Kammerer is a 29-year-old Austrian actor who honed his acting skills by performing in stage shows. Later, he made his debut in All Quiet on the Western Front, and after that, he won hearts with his acting in All the Light We Cannot See. Now, we will see him appear in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein cast as William Frankenstein.

6. Lars Mikkelsen as Captain Anderson

Captain Anderson hasn’t made it to the Frankenstein yet, but that also doesn’t mean that he is an entirely new character, who is set to make his debut in the 2025 film. He is loosely based, or you can say he is a reimagination of Captain Robert Walton from the original novel. The major details about the character are sparse at the moment, but it would be safe to say that his story arc might be similar to that of Robert Walton.

Lars Mikkelsen has been entrusted with bringing Anderson to life in the upcoming film. The Danish actor is widely known for his performances in Ahsoka, The Killing, House of Cards, and more.

7. David Bradley as Blind Man

The blind man plays a significant role in the narrative of Frankenstein, as he provides the Monster with the one thing that he sought- a Human Connection. He lives in the woods, and after catching sight of the Monster, he does not run with disgust due to his inability to see. Therefore, he ends up creating a bond with the monster.

The elderly actor David Bradley will portray the role of the blind man in the Frankenstein cast. He is popularly known as Argus Filch by the Harry Potter fans. Besides that, he has worked on several acclaimed projects, including The World’s End, Where the Heart Is, and more.

8. Charles Dance as Leopold Frankenstein

Leopold Frankenstein is the strict father of Victor in the 2025 film; in the novel, the protagonist’s father is Alphonse Frankenstein. Like the name change, the sources suggest that the character’s arc might also change. While Alphonse is described as a loving and caring father, Leopald may be represented as an abusive father who shares a strained relationship with his son.

Charles Dance has bagged the role of Leopold Frankenstein in the film. The actor is popularly recognized for appearing in the James Bond film, For Your Eyes Only, Michael Collins, The Imitation Game, and more.

So, these are the confirmed cast members of Frankenstein (2025). We cannot wait to see these stars appear on the big screen and deliver a spectacular performance.
