Epic Games just carried out the Fortnite OG Ice King live event in the OG mode, bringing a few small changes to the iconic Chapter 1 Season 7 live event. While the Ice King event is considered underwhelming when compared to Epic’s other live events, it still stands to show what made Fortnite such a special game back in its heyday.

What Happened in Fortnite OG Ice King Live Event Today?
Just as leakers suggested previously, the Fortnite OG Ice King live event followed a similar format to its Chapter 1 Season 7 counterpart. The event saw the orb, which was hovering over the Infinity Blade, shattering and sending out a wave of energy. This caused the Ice King, the legendary ruler of Polar Peak, to emerge from the orb.
However, this time around, the Ice King could be seen with his new Remixed look, which was first revealed in the Fortnite Love and Legends roadmap. As he rose above the castle, the Ice King summoned a massive, translucent spectral version of himself near the western edge of the map.
Then, the Ice King, using sorceries and some form of dark spells cast with his hands, summoned a massive cloud of white mist and sent it sweeping across the island in real time. This left the Fortnite OG map’s lush green grass covered in a thick layer of snow.
Further following in the footsteps of the Chapter 1 Season 7 event, the OG Ice King event also brought back the Ice Legion spawners around the map, adding a layer of PvE to the OG mode once again. Players can defeat these ice monsters to get some valuable loot.
All in all, the Fortnite OG Ice King live event allowed players, especially those who missed out on the original event 7 years ago, to witness the raw power of the Ice King and what he’s capable of.
