When is the Next Fortnite Live Event? Date and Time

The next Fortnite live event, the OG Ice King event, will take place on February 15, 2026, at 2 PM ET. The date for the event was revealed with the Fortnite Love and Legends roadmap, which also featured a remixed Ice King skin. It is important to remember that the Ice King event, officially titled Ice Storm, will not take place in the Battle Royale mode. The live event is expected to go down just as it did back in Chapter 1 Season 7, with the Ice King (sporting his new remixed look) summoning a massive projection of himself to summon an ice storm that covers the entire island. Players can expect to see the return of the Ice Legion zombies around the OG map. While there have been some theories related to changes in the lore with the Prisoner, the Ice Storm event will mostly play out as its original counterpart.

Apart from the OG mode, Epic Games has not announced a live event for Chapter 7 Season 1 yet. However, files added with the Fortnite 39.40 update suggest that Epic is working on a season finale event, which will see The Seven and the Dark Voyager go head-to-head.

With the return of the Seven in Fortnite and Epic Games extending Chapter 7 Season 1 by two weeks, it looks like the developers are cooking up another live event that could be a treat for storyline fans. The next Battle Royale live event could take place on March 19, 2026, which is the new end date for Chapter 7 Season 1.

The most recent major live event was the Chapter 6 finale event titled “Zero Hour.” The event took place on November 29, 2025, at 2 PM ET. It was one of the game’s most ambitious events, bringing in massive Fortnite collaborations like Godzilla, Kong, Superman, and so many more against the Dark Presence in a final showdown. The event went on to become one of Fortnite’s most-watched events, with over 10.5 million players attending the finale.

Apart from the Zero Hour event, Epic Games featured their annual New Year’s ball drop on December 31, 2025. The event took place every hour on New Year’s Eve, welcoming the New Year across the world.

How to Join a Fortnite Live Event

Joining a Fortnite live event is relatively simple. Epic Games usually sends out an in-game announcement, as well as a social media announcement that the live event is happening. You can then load into Fortnite Battle Royale and find the playlist for the live event in your library.
