The next Fortnite live event is the Rocket Launch live event to close out Chapter 7 Season 1, and it is expected to take place on March 18, 2026. While the event has not been officially confirmed by Epic Games, in-game information suggests that the developers plan to end Season 1 with a bang before ushering in the Showdown between the Foundation and the Ice King.

As of now, not much is known about what will happen during the live event, but players can expect the Seven, especially Ben Starr’s The Visitor, to make an appearance in a final push against the Dark Voyager’s plans.

The most recent major live event was the Dark Voyager Story Moment in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1. The event took place on March 14, 2026, at 3:30 PM ET. This live event was part of the return of the Seven live event roadmap, and featured the Dark Voyager’s Harvester blasting the Zero Point with energy to locate and open gateways to the remaining Zero Point shards.

How to Join a Fortnite Live Event

Joining a Fortnite live event is relatively simple. Epic Games typically sends an in-game announcement and a social media post announcing that the live event is underway. You can then load into Fortnite Battle Royale and find the playlist for the live event in your library. It is recommended that you load into a match at least 30 minutes before the event is set to happen. This is because lobbies fill up extremely quickly during major events.

It is also important to remember that Epic Games usually disables all of the other playlists for major live events. Once you join a major live event’s playlist, you might find yourself without a weapon. Epic Games does this to prevent any griefers from ruining the experience for a player, providing a community environment for the experience.
