- Fortnite leakers have found datamined files containing info about a Daft Punk collab coming soon.
- The collab will reportedly go live on September 27, 2025.
- There will be two playlists for the collab, where one will be a fan contest and another a live event in-game by the artists.
Fortnite’s live events have become iconic in the gaming world by bringing millions of gamers to its virtual metaverse, whether it’s to see Eminem battling against Mecha Team Leader while rapping to Houdini or Travis Scott taking over the island with his Astronomical aura in 2020.
Epic Games has mastered the art of live events, with each one generating hype on social media where fans decipher leaks and datamined clues for the next one. As the ongoing Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 reaches its mid-point, players have started to anticipate the next big crossover, which will bring new skins, emotes, and possibly a live event that leads to its Halloween update.
Now dataminers like HYPEX and ShiinaBR are already teasing the next big crossover with French Duo Daft Punk, who have previously been mentioned in surveys to appear in the game. While early rumors suggested they would headline a Fortnite Festival season, the latest leaks reveal it’s going to be a live event on the island with an open contest in which players can participate. Here’s when the Daft Punk crossover is hitting Fortnite and everything we know about it.
Fortnite Daft Punk Crossover Release Date and Live Event Leaked
According to leaks, the Daft Punk collab will appear in Fortnite on September 27, 2025, which is just weeks before Epic unleashed the Fortnitemares update in Chapter 6 Season 4. Throughout this season, there’s been a mysterious monolith standing tall on the island, which some players thought to be a replica of the real-life Washington Monument.
Well, as per the leaks, the monolith is in fact connected to the live event and specifically Daft Punk since it appears as a pink/purple monument in its Starboy music video for a brief while. Further leaks also suggest that the monolith will turn pink and start emitting a noise as it did in the music video.
The datamined files reveal that there will be two event playlists, where one will purely be around the live event that will bring a stellar Daft Punk performance for fans. Another playlist is related to Daft Punk’s “Around The World” music video and will be an open contest where players in that mode will recreate their version of the duo’s music video. The official description for the leaked playlist suggests as follows: “Make your own version of the iconic music video!”
Furthermore, there are two leaked abilities for the event: one is a dash with a cooldown, and the second one is a “Super” ability that you can pick up and activate. While most of this info is merely leaks and nothing has been confirmed by Epic or the French Duo themselves, it’s best to wait for the official announcements through proper channels.
