Honkai Star Rail has many celestial beings called Aeons. These beings rule over different paths, which are congregations of imaginary energy, born from behavioral concepts. Among these Aeons, one in particular has started to become more and more active in the Honkai Star Rail storyline. This Aeon, or minions of this Aeon, played critical roles in both the Penacony arc and now the Amphoreus arc. This Aeon is none other than Mythus, Aeon of Enigmata. What is Enigmata in Honkai Star Rail?
Enigmata is one of the non-playable paths of Honkai Star Rail. This path directly challenges the “Certainty” of Erudition, believing that things-in-themselves are beyond perception and that finite entities are incapable of envisioning true infinity, and therefore everything is an enigma.
This path challenges the notion that all things can be experienced and recognised. The Aeon of Enigmata conjured the Fog of Thought and the Rain of Sensation to reveal to the mortals the inexplicable truth through the four agents: Morph, Screen, Riddle, and Mirage.
In simple words, Enigmata is anything except ‘certainty’. They reign over possibilities, prophecies, sensations, thought, riddles or everything that doesn’t have a definite answer. We often see the pathstriders of Enigmata weaving lies, eventually forming them into possibilities that can even become true.
Who is the Aeon of Enigmata in Honkai Star Rail?
Mythus is the Aeon of Enigmata in Honkai Star Rail. He is rumored to be born out of Remembrance, as once revealed by the Genius Society Member, Madame Herta. Some have recently speculated that Mythus is acting as the Remembrance, with Fuli actually being dead and living only in memories. Some speculate that the lie about Fuli being alive is perpetrated by Mythus.
The form of the Aeon Mythus resembles a broken and torn jellyfish. They also have a humanoid body that is surrounded by staircases, capped off with a hat resembling a jellyfish.
In Honkai Star Rail 3.6, we see Evernight use the power of Enigmata as her memosprite appears in the shape of a jellyfish. We also hear her constantly talk about the oblivion brought by the Enigmata, which was previously an unknown possibility for the path.
Known Pathstriders and Factions of Enigmata
Currently, only a few Pathstriders have been revealed to be associated with Enigmata in Honkai Star Rail. However, none of these actually have the playable path of Enigmata, as that is something that’s yet to be released.
