Ask any gamer worth their salt, and you’ll know that weapons are one of the key parts of an RPG experience. Besides looking cool, the best weapons ensure you quickly eliminate everyone around you. Fortunately, Dragon’s Dogma 2 comes with a plethora of weapons spread across various vocations. To help you out, we decided to list down the absolute best weapons in Dragon’s Dogma 2. So with that, let’s begin the attack!

1. Dead Ringer

Dead Ringer is one of the best balanced weapons in Dragon's Dogma 2

Dead Ringer is a great mid to late-game weapon for the Mystic Spearhand vocation. The weapon comes with a great balance of physical and magical damage. Despite being so high on damage, it is a lightweight weapon and pretty easy to get. The Dead Ringer also comes with 275 knockdown power, which is also solid for mid-to-end game enemies. For an all-out weapon, don’t hesitate to get this weapon in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

2. Grianmhar

  • Strength: 0
  • Magick: 420
  • Weight: 2.03 kg
  • Vocation: Magick Archer

Grianmhar is a Dragonforged weapon that players can unlock post-game. Its specialty is its weight and knockdown power, which are both really solid. The Magick stat is really high, which you will love as a Magick Archer. The only downside is that you must complete the game once to get this weapon. However, it is still the only Magick Archer weapon that deserves to be on the best weapons list. So keep the Grianmhar for when you finish Dragon’s Dogma 2.

3. Dragonswail Litany

  • Strength: 200
  • Magick: 325
  • Weight: 2.53 kg
  • Vocation: Trickster

While the Trickster is a unique vocation in Dragon’s Dogma 2, their weapon choices are pretty mediocre. The only good weapon comes in the form of Dragonswail Litany. You can buy it from the Dragonforged at the Bay Wayside Shrine after completing the main game. Thankfully, the magick stats combined with its lightweight characteristics make it a solid weapon.

4. Anathema

  • Strength: 65
  • Magick: 312
  • Weight: 3.17 kg
  • Vocation: Sorcerer

For sorcerers in Dragon’s Dogma 2, the Anathema staff is a game-changer. This weapon packs a serious punch, boasting both a high magical attack and surprising physical damage. However, Anathema’s true power lies in its secret: Silence. Once it hits enemies, they cannot cast their spells. So, no more fearing those spellcasting enemies with the Anathema.

5. Spite

  • Strength: 162
  • Magick: 0
  • Weight: 2 kg
  • Vocation: Thief

While you can go for the highly damaging Battahli Biters or Dowsing Spikes, the Spite is more than just raw damage. Spite applies 18% poison damage with every hit to your enemies. Once the poison starts its magic, your enemies will bleed faster than they blink. Spite is also easy to get and it weighs only 2kg. So if you prefer fairly lightweight weapons along with some sneaky damage, get this weapon in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

6. Dragon’s Rancor

  • Strength: 308
  • Magick: 0
  • Weight: 2.37 kg
  • Vocation: Archer

None of the Archer’s bows get you anything special than already being a ranged weapon. That is why it is better to wait out and get the Dragon’s Rancor from the Dragonforged at the Bay Wayside Shrine. Thankfully, you will just have to complete the main missions. It is a great weapon for ranged combat lovers as it comes with a huge knockdown power along with great physical damage stats.

7. Necrotic Shriek

  • Strength: 75
  • Magick: 395
  • Weight: 4.33 kg
  • Vocation: Mage

Despite being an early weapon, Necrotic Shriek is a great weapon for the Mage. It boasts a great magick stat even if you can purchase it from almost any city in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Along with its bonker stats, you get the Silence power attached to it. Similar to Anathema, it will also stop enemies from casting spells. However, do note that this weapon is a big heftier than the other ones on our list.

8. Dragon’s Dogma

  • Strength: 351
  • Magick: 0
  • Weight: 4 kg
  • Vocation: Fighter

True to its namesake, Dragon’s Dogma is one of the ultimate Fighter weapons in the game. Boasting a massive stat and significantly light, Dragon’s Dogma is the weapon you should have. In case you are still quite far and want to wield an alternative, the Stalwart Sword is easier to get and comes with 280 strength. It is a good mid-game alternative to the Dragon’s Dogma sword.

9. Dragon’s Aegis

  • Strength: 186
  • Magick: 0
  • Weight: 3.40 kg
  • Vocation: Fighter

If you are a Fighter, having a shield along with your sword is a must, and what complements the Dragon’s Dogma more than the Dragon’s Aegis? This handy yet tough shield comes with 304 knockdown power. Sadly, it is also a postgame weapon just like the Dragon’s Dogma. Alternatively, you can use the Daughter of the Evening. But once you do finish the game, get the Aegis along with the sword to finish the entire set.

10. Cinderspine

  • Strength: 300
  • Magick: 210
  • Weight: 9.55 kg
  • Vocation: Warrior

Cinderspine is a great weapon for the Warrior class. While the weapon is pretty heavy, lugging stuff around is already a part of Warrior’s lives. Cinderspine is quite easy to acquire from a certain location in Mountain Base Cave. You also get magick damage along with a ton of strength in it. It also comes with a massive 323 knockdown power which pretty solid against big enemies. Keep in mind that Cinderspine has a fire element attached, so it will deal additional damage to enemies that fear the flames.
