- To delete your save file and start Dragon's Dogma 2 from the beginning, you must first disable the Steam Cloud save.
- With the Steam Cloud disabled, download the saved file from the Steam Remote Storage for backup purposes.
- Once the Cloud Save is disabled, go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata -> Find the folder with your Steam ID -> Locate the 2054970 folder -> Enter the remote folder and delete the win64_save folder to remove the save file of Dragon's Dogma 2.

Disable Steam Cloud First
Since Dragon’s Dogma 2 relies on Steam to keep a cloud save file, we must first begin with disabling it to avoid an auto-download later. Follow the steps below to do so:
- Head over to your Steam library, locate Dragon’s Dogma 2, right-click, and go to “Properties“.
- In the General tab, look for the Steam Cloud option.
- Once you’ve done this, toggle off “Keep games saves in the Steam Cloud for Dragon’s Dogma 2.” It will turn gray.
Backup Dragon’s Dogma 2 Steam Cloud Save
Note: Steam’s Remote Storage doesn’t allow you to delete the save files. The steps below are only to download your saves and use them to restore progression through local storage after you opt-out of Cloud Save feature.
While we have turned off Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Steam cloud save, we should back it up before we delete the local storage. Follow the steps below to do so.
- Log in with your Steam account and go to the official Steam Remote Storage website.
- Locate Dragon’s Dogma 2 and click on the “Show Files” option.
- Once you’ve finished, click the “Download” button next to the files and save them on your PC.
Delete Dragon Dogma 2 Local Save File
It is now time to delete Dragon’s Dogma 2 save files. Follow the steps below:
- To begin, first, open your explorer and go to “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata.”
- Once here, locate the folder with your Steam ID. If you use only one account, then there should be one folder.
- L0ok for the folder numbered “2054970″. This is the folder for Dragon’s Dogma 2.
- Once there, click on the “remote” folder.
- Locate the folder titled “win64_save” and delete it to finish.
