With Fragile’s beach jump taking a toll that she can no longer bear, new ways have been added to let Sam fast travel in Death Stranding 2. What Is a Transponder in Death Stranding 2?
In general, transponders are devices used to receive and send radio signals. However, in the Death Stranding world, transponders can be used to send a porter from one place to another. Heartman invented this structure after spending time on the beach, and he was able to replicate the beach jumping ability with the transponders.
You will unlock the blueprint for this structure right after you recruit Heartman to the Drawbridge crew. Once unlocked, all the major distribution facilities and the constructed safe houses will get a transponder built on top of their buildings. However, not all preppers’ facilities are equipped with a transponder. That is why we discussed how to build a transponder using PCC and fast-travel using it below.
How to Build a Transponder in Death Stranding 2
Now that you have learned about the Transponder, it is time to learn how to build one to utilize it to fast-travel between places:
- Transponders can only be built using a level 2 PCC unit.
- All you need to do is equip a PCC and then select the transponder structure next to zip lines.
- Then find the right place nearby, and the fabrication will begin shortly.
- Once you’ve built the transponder, you can access it by pressing the square button and then selecting the location you want to travel.
- You can travel to major distribution facilities and the other transponders you have built by performing a beach jump.
- All the cargos you were carrying before will be placed in the private lockers of the transponder you just built.
Furthermore, when you are in a Distribution Centre, you can access the terminal and head over to the features of the facilities. Then you can see a ‘Beach Jump’ option here as well. In this way, you can make use of an already built transponder and fast-travel to your desired location.
