3. Mike Flanagan and Kate Siegel

Mike Flanagan, the American director known for his magnificent horror titles such as The Haunting of Hill House, Doctor Sleep, etc., and his wife, Kate Siegel, the Hollywood actress who can be seen in Mike’s works, also show up in cameo roles in Death Stranding 2.
The couple doesn’t appear together in-game. Instead, Mike works in the Northern Environmental Observatory, while Olivia runs the West Fort Knot (F1).
4. Gen Hoshino as The Musician

Gen Hoshino is a wildly successful singer and songwriter from Japan. You must already be familiar with his works and must have listened to the ‘Pop Virus’ song in the previous game. Similar to how Daichi Miura appeared in the original, Hoshino makes a cameo appearance as ‘The Musician’ in the sequel.
You will connect with Hoshino through a main order, and he will unlock the music player in Death Stranding 2 for Sam. You can do more orders for him to unlock more songs in the game.
5. Woodkid as The Mechanic

Yoann Lemoine, more popularly known as Woodkid, is a widely acclaimed music director who has worked with big names in the music industry, such as Lana Del Rey, Harry Styles, and others.

6. Usada Pekora as The Data Scientist

You might already know this, but the fan-favorite Japanese VTuber, Usada Pekora, makes a cameo appearance in Death Stranding 2 as one of the preppers. This rabbit-earred girl with carrots in her hair is the Data Scientist in Death Stranding 2.
Pekora interacts with Sam primarily in Japanese. She presents you with assault rifle upgrades, dog mines, and more items to help Sam with his expeditions.
7. S. S. Rajamouli as The Adventurer

I’m sure you must have heard about the glorious Bahubali movies or the sensational RRR movie. If you haven’t, well, it’s my pleasure to introduce you to S. S. Rajamouli — the excellent Indian movie director behind the internationally acclaimed movies.
Hideo Kojima expressed his love for RRR and invited Rajamouli to his studio recently. Now, Death Stranding 2 has arrived with a cameo from Rajamouli. He makes his debut in the gaming industry as ‘The Adventurer’ in Death Stranding 2.
You would have to rescue him from an Armed survivalists’ base in one of the main missions. It was great to see a director from my country included in one of Kojima’s works.
8. Jon McElroy as The Inventor

The team behind Stray, the cat adventure game celebrated across the globe, was also invited to the Kojima Production Studios. Jon McElroy, a game designer, joined the meeting with Kojima and has now made it into Death Stranding 2 as ‘The Inventor.’
9. Danny and Michael Philippou

Danny and Michael Philippou, aka RackaRacka, are rising twin movie directors from Australia. The duo’s directorial debut, Talk to Me, was one of the great modern horror movies in recent times. The movie seems to have been liked by Kojima, as he invited the twins to his studio and included them as a prepper duo in Death Stranding 2.
10. CHVRCHES as Animal Shelter Staff

Lauren Eve Mayberry, Iain Cook, and Martin Doherty are part of the well-known Scottish synth-pop band, CHVRCHES. They composed the main theme of Death Stranding in 2019, and now the band members have made cameo appearances as ‘The Animal Shelter Staff’ in Death Stranding 2.
And of course, more new tracks from CHVRCHES are available to stream using the music player in the game.
11. Lauren Tsai as The Artist

The multi-talented Lauren Tsai also makes a cameo appearance in the game as The Artist, who lives on top of the mountains in Mexico. You might recognize Lauren from her roles in the famous Legion and Terrace House: Aloha State TV shows. She works as an actress, a visual artist, and an American model. Kojima must have admired Lauren’s anime-style art and rightfully included her as the artist in Death Stranding 2.
