Control Resonant significantly updates its combat system from the first part, adding new weapons and fighting styles. Some of the Talents follow a path, so you will need to unlock the skill before it on the same path before you can unlock it. Here are all the Talents in Control Resonant:
- Tier 1:
- Dominance: Boosts Melee Damage after performing an Execution: Primary and Combo Finisher by +100%, Secondary by +50%. Killing enemies with Dominance is guaranteed to drop more Health Elements. Lasts for 8 seconds.
- Tier 2:
- All-Rounder: Adds +5% Damage and Falter from all attacks.
- Extra Impact: Adds +10% Falter from Combat Abilities.
- Tier 3:
- Perfect Dodge: Dodge right before an attack lands to gain Retaliation. Your next attack deals +50% more damage and Falter.
- Tier 4:
- Extended Falter: Enemies stay Faltered for longer.
- Cleansing Rush: Rush removes status ailments twice as fast.
- Extended Rush: Extends Rush duration, making it last three times as long.
- Retribution: Retaliation deals 25% more Falter.
- Tier 5:
- Guarded Formation: Take 20% less damage when near summons.
- Agile Response: Adds 25% damage and Falter from Dodge attacks.
- Tier 6:
- Restorative Summons: Enemies killed by Summons drop extra Health Elements.
- Sanctioned Retaliation: Retaliation recovers 50% more Power.
- Skilled Backstab: Hitting enemies from behind with Melee attacks deals 50% more Damage and Falter.
- Tier 7:
- Enduring Ally: Increases the lifetime of all Summons by 50%.
- Mold Colony: Dylan can have +1 more active Mold ally.
- Reactive Detonation: Performing a Perfect Dodge during Ignite applies Burn to all nearby enemies.
- Back Stab Recovery: Hitting enemies from behind with Melee Attacks recovers 50% more Power.
- Decisive Step-up: Activates Keen after an Execution. Keen gives 20% Critical Chance to all Melee attacks for a short duration.
- Resurgence: Enemies who attack Dylan while Ignite or Shield is active are marked with Vengeance, making them take 50% Damage and Falter from Melee attacks and Shield Bash.
- Tier 8:
- Better Together: Summons deal 25% more Damage and Falter while Dominance is active.
- Heightened State: Adds 20% Power while Dominance is active.
- Sustained Assault: Successive Melee hits on the same enemy have a chance to drop Health Elements.
- Tier 9:
- Extended Retaliation: Adds an extra charge to Retaliation, making it boost the next two attacks within 5 seconds after a Perfect Dodge.
- Restorative Dodge: Perfect Dodge recovers a small amount of Health.
- Tier 10:
- Battle Alignment: Summons apply Tracked to enemies they hit. Enemies under Tracked take 30% more Damage and Falter from Combat Abilities.
- Optimized Projectiles: Projectiles deal 25% damage and Falter.
- Impressive Comeback: Adds 20% Power recovery when Health is low (<25%)
- Tier 11:
- Parting Blast: When destroyed, Summons sends out a shockwave dealing Damage and Falter to a small area.
- Anti Air: Summons deal 20% more damage and Falter to Airborne enemies.
- Avid Execution: Increases Execution range.
- Restorative Dominance: Hitting enemies while Dominance is active causes them to drop a Health Element.
- Shield Blast: Tap light attack while Shield is active to trigger an explosion.
- Tier 12:
- Friendly Fairwell: Summons drop a Health Element when they die.
- Combat Recharge: Adds 10% Power from all Melee attacks.
- Peak Condition: Adds 20% Falter when Health is full.
- Status Spread: Push and Ground Slam instantly spread any of the target’s active Status Ailments to nearby enemies that are hit.
- Rising Heat: Using Inferno in rapid succession increases its Damage and Falter.
- Executive Finisher: Executing Heavy enemies restores a large amount of Power.
- Tier 13:
- Summoned Reserves: Heavy enemies killed by Summons have a 20% chance to drop a Command Charge.
- Morale Boost: Adds 20% Power recovery when you have a Commanded enemy on the battlefield.
- Tier 14:
- Thought Leader: Commanding enemies with low Health costs 1 less Command Charge (minimum 1 charge).
- Crowd Conversion: Drone enemies killed by Commanded enemies revive as allies.
- Command Provision: Enemies killed by Combat Abilities have a 20% chance to drop a Command Charge.
- Lethal Authorization: Commanded enemies explode when they die.
- High Morale: Commanded enemies deal 25% more damage and Falter.
- Tier 15:
- Exploit Ailments: Enemies afflicted by Burn, Infected, or Astralized take more Damage and Falter from Summons.
- Stored Command: Adds 5% Combat Ability damage and Falter for each unused Command Charge.
- Strong Presence: Increases the lifetime of Commanded enemies by 30%.
- Energized Melee: Adds 5% Melee Damage and Falter for each unused Command Charge.
- Command Advantage: Applies Keen status effect to Dylan and all Commanded characters while a Commanded enemy is on the Battlefield. Keen gives 20% Critical Chance to all Melee attacks for a short duration.
- Tier 16:
- Team Morale: Take 5% less damage for each Summon on the battlefield.
- Field Master: Non-summon Combat Abilities deal 20% more damage and Falter if there is a Commanded enemy on the battlefield.
- Command II: Adds 1 Command Charge.
- Resilient: Dylan takes 25% Damage when Dominance is active.
- Extended Dominance: Increases the Dominance duration to 15 seconds.
How to Unlock Talents In Control Resonant
Talents are not unlocked from the get-go. Players have to defeat the first Resonant, The Artist, which unlocks Gap. Once it is unlocked, players can now spend Talent Points to unlock Control Resonant Talents. Unlocking some of them can also unlock the Control Resonant trophies. Now, here is exactly how you can do so:
- Press and hold the ‘G’ key to enter Gap. You cannot do this in the Story area or when in dialogue.
- After you have entered the Gap, interact with the little shrine to open the Talents menu.
- Select the Talent you want and unlock it using Talent points.

To earn Talent Points, players will have to upgrade zones. This includes completing story missions or completing various activities around the map. The best part about the skill tree is that it lets you freely reset all skill points. So, use strong skills and perform epic Control Resonant finishers.
