Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Early Access and Open Beta: Dates, Timings, and Platforms

As usual, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta will take place on weekends back-to-back. Players who preordered the new CoD title and those who received early access codes can begin playing the game on August 21 at 11:00 AM PT.

The early access period lasts until August 25 at 10:00 AM PT. The early access will be available to players only on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5|5 Pro, and PC (via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox app).

On the other hand, the second Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta will kick off on August 28 at 10:00 AM PT and end on September 1 at 10:00 AM PT. Players don’t need to purchase the game to participate in the second open beta weekend.

The Open Beta, however, will be available to all platforms: Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5|5 Pro, PC (via Steam, Battle.net, and Xbox app), and Nintendo Switch 2.

How to Join Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Beta

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 beta will be split into two distinct phases: Early Access and Open Beta. Since Modern Warfare 4 is not dropping on previous-gen consoles, the open beta will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Battle.net). Here are the steps you can follow to join the open beta:

• Decide if you want to pay for Early Access or wait for the Open Beta.
• If you want Early Access to the Open Beta, you have to pre-order any Edition of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.
• Alternatively, you can wait for the Public Open Beta to play completely for free. However, you will have to wait for the second weekend.
• If you pre-order a physical disc, check your store receipt or your email inbox for a 13-digit beta access code.
• Visit the Call of Duty beta code redemption site.
• Redeem the Beta Code.
• Wait for the beta announcement.
• Head to your platform’s storefront and download the beta client.
• Jump in when the servers are live and enjoy the latest Modern Warfare experience for a limited time.
