Activision has once again dropped a bombshell announcement with the reveal of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4. Just like previous titles in the series, players will be able to jump into the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 open beta, allowing them to get firsthand impressions of the game’s many new gameplay changes. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Early Access and Open Beta Dates
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 early access will begin on August 21 and last until August 25. The Modern Warfare 4 open beta will start on August 28 and end on September 1. Previously, Activision had also officially confirmed that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 will launch globally on October 23, 2026.
The early access will only be available for players who have pre-ordered the game and on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The open beta, however, will be available to all platforms, and players don’t need to purchase the game to participate.
How to Join Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Open Beta
The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 open beta will be split into two distinct phases: Early Access and Open Beta. Since Modern Warfare 4 is not dropping on previous-gen consoles, the open beta will be available exclusively on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Battle.net). Here are the steps you can follow to join the open beta:
- Decide if you want to pay for Early Access or wait till the Open Beta.
- If you want Early Access to the Open Beta, you have to pre-order any Edition of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4.
- Alternatively, you can wait for the Public Open Beta to play completely for free. However, you will have to wait for the second weekend.
- If you pre-order a physical disc, check your store receipt or your email inbox for a 13-digit beta access code.
- Visit the Call of Duty beta code redemption site.
- Redeem the Beta Code.
- Wait for the beta announcement.
- Head to your platform’s storefront and download the beta client.
