Black Ops 7 Season 1 details are starting to roll out, and by the looks of it, we’re in for a boatload of new content. Billed as the biggest season in Black Ops history, the update will deliver a plethora of maps, weapons, Zombies content, and much more. Besides this, the game will also be integrated into Warzone, meaning you look forward to seeing BO7 weapons in Verdansk. With all that being said, here’s everything we know so far about Black Ops 7 Season 1.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Release Date
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is confirmed to drop on Thursday, December 4. Treyarch revealed the date via a post on their social media accounts. As always, the update will go live at 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM ET/5:00 PM GMT).
Black Ops 7 Season 1 New Maps

Black Ops 7’s map roster will get even bigger with six new maps confirmed for Season 1. These include:
- Fate
- Utopia
- Odysseus
- Standoff
- Meltdown
- Fringe
- Yakei
Meltdown and Standoff are, of course, remasters of beloved Black Ops 2 maps, and even the Japan-based Yakei appears to have some similarities to BO2’s Vertigo. We got a glimpse at Fate in B07’s gameplay reveal trailer, with the map confirmed to take place on a Menendez compound in Nicaragua.
Utopia is set on an abandoned Guild facility in Australia, while Odysseus pays homage to the Black Ops 2 mission of the same name. Fringe, set in the idyllic locale surrounding the Rolling Hills distillery, is another remaster coming to Black Ops 7 in Season 1.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 New Weapons
BO7 Season 1 will deliver seven new weapons, including:
- Maddox RFB: Bullpup AR with a rapid rate of fire and excellent handling, last seen in Black Ops 4.
- Kogot-7: Full-auto submachine gun. Excellent mobility and fast fire rate, but shorter-range capabilities and moderate recoil.
- Sokol 545: Full-auto light machine gun. Can switch on demand between a slower fire rate with high accuracy and range, and a faster fire rate with higher damage and recoil.
- Hawker HX: Bolt-action Sniper Rifle.Fast handling and mobility. Higher recoil and flinch. Hold breath while ADS to steady.
- Sturmwolf 45: Full-auto submachine gun. Very low recoil and good headshot damage. Lower handling, mobility, and range.
- NX Ravager: Single-shot weapon that fires bolts, needs to be reloaded after every round.
- Ballistic Knife: A throwing knife that takes up your lethal equipment slot.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 New Attachments

A whopping 11 new attachments are coming as part of Season 1. Five of them will be prestige attachments, while the rest will be available through weekly challenges. Here’s an overview of the two attachments revealed thus far:
- Akira Scorchlink Akimbo (Akira shotgun): Just like it says on the tin, the attachment lets you wield two Akira shotguns at the same time. Equipping it sees the shotgun get fitted with Belt Fed Ammo Capacity and an Overheat mechanic.
- Redwell Shade-X Suppressor (All weapons with Muzzle attachment): Suppress your weapon while simultaneously improving vertical and horizontal recoil control at a slight cost to damage range and bullet velocity, helping to keep you on target and off the radar.
Season 1 Events
The devs have revealed info on two new events coming to Season 1, alongside the typical slate of CODMAS celebrations. Here’s an overview of them both:
- Rally Point: Take on Personal Missions unlocked over the course of the Event to unlock rewards for yourself, while also contributing to Community Missions to help the playerbase hit a global milestone. When the milestone is achieved, all players who’ve participated in the Event will receive the special rewards.
- Naughty or Nice: Complete Naughty Challenges to reveal rewards in bags of Coal or stay on your best behavior with Nice Challenges that unwrap Festive Gifts. Rewards include the new Sokol 545 LMG, an opposing pair of Weapon Blueprints, and an Animated Weapon Camo.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Endgame Content

Endgame will receive the expansion it deserves in Season 1 via four multi-stage World Events that require players to battle against challenging enemies. The devs recommend earning a high combat rating and gathering the rarest weapons before taking on these foes. Here are the three World Events revealed so far:
- Colossus of Avalon: A giant mechanical contraption towers over the Avalon terrain, leaving a bloody path in its wake. Expect an emergency announcement breaking into your comms to alert all Operators within the Avalon combat zones to converge on this massive metal threat. Consult your Tac-map for the expected arrival area, and once certain criteria are met, you can watch the terrifying titan fall from the skies, visible across most of the map.
- Toxic Tyrant: In an event codenamed “Toxic Tyrant,” the emergency alert system breaks into your usual combat chatter to warn you of a severe neurotoxin outbreak occurring in Avalon. Stemming the outbreak requires your top-tier team talent and weaponry, as the enemies spilling out of these fear-based summoning anomalies are powerful and unrelenting.
- Wraith Wing: In the Mid-Season, keep your eyes to the sky in search of a VTOL manifested by fear, in the Wraith Wing World Event. This advanced Guild aircraft appears to have cloning capabilities with very lethal consequences, as this squadron seems hellbent on eliminating as many JSOC Operators as it can. Disable it, fire at the exposed aircraft, and down that bird.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 Zombies Content

There’s plenty in store for COD: Zombies fans during Season 1, on top of the beefy launch offering. While Ashes of the Damned will serve the main Zombies experience at launch, the devs will introduce two Survival maps and a new round-based map with the first seasonal update.
Both survival maps are basically small slices from Ashes of the Damned, molded into an endless experience, while the new round-based map promises to deliver something special. Named Astra Malorum, the experience takes place on a floating skull in the middle of space, and judging by its intro cinematic, Treyarch is embracing all the absurdly epic quirks that make Zombies so special.
Here’s a look at the full Zombies content offering in Season 1:
- Astra Malorum (New round-based map)
- Exit 115 (Survival Map)
- Zarya Cosmodrome (Survival Map)
And that wraps up everything we know about Black Ops 7 Season 1 so far. We’ll be sure to update this guide as more information is revealed. Until then, let us know if you’re excited for the game in the comments.
