In Short
  • Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded will be released on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 9:00 AM PT.
  • The mid-season update will see the return of the classic Fringe map, alongside a new arena named Eclipse.

The Season 4 Reloaded update for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone is set to arrive next week, adding a bunch of new content to the game.

The ongoing season 4 has been far from popular, thanks to a myriad of gameplay bugs and the inclusion of microtransaction ads in the loadout screen. Due to the issues, fan sentiment on Season 4 has been sour, but Activision can redeem itself with a strong mid-season update. If you’re looking to learn more about it, here’s everything to know about Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded.

Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded Release Date

Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded will be released on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. As always, Season 4 Reloaded will kick off at these times: 9:00 AM PT (12:00 PM ET/5:00 PM GMT).

The season was previously expected to arrive on June 26, since Reloaded updates are typically released at the halfway point of the ongoing season. But the official date looks to have been pushed back due to an internal delay.

Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded: New Content

The official Season 4 Reloaded blog post revealed everything players can expect in the upcoming update. Check out all the new content below:

New Maps

  • Fringe
  • Eclispe

Fringe returns to Call of Duty for the first time since Black Ops 3, with its visuals reimagined for BO6. Set around the Rolling Hill distillery, this idyllic location hosts some classic three-lane combat and features accessible buildings scattered throughout. All of its major structures, including the barn, bridge, and bar, remain in the same places as before.

The second confirmed post-launch is called Eclipse, and it’s set within an underground nightclub in Avalon. The compact arena features a dance floor at the center, destructible walls on the sides, and neon lights flashing throughout. There’s also a DJ Booth to check out, but you will have little time to spin and scratch.

In addition to this, Nuketown, Babylon, Skyline, Stakeout, and Grind will receive a cel-shaded visual overhaul as part of the CODtoons Moshpit playlist.

New Weapons

  • Olympia
  • Pickaxe

The Olympia double-barrel shotgun makes its return to Black Ops 6, and it’s sure to be a nuisance on close-range maps. The no-nonsense weapon is all about hefty damage, although its range is quite abysmal.

Season 4 Reloaded will also feature the new Pickaxe melee weapon, capable of killing enemies in one hit. However, it is only suited for close and medium ranges. Both weapons will be available as part of the Beavis and Butt-Head Event.

New Game Mode

Party Ops is the only new game mode confirmed for the mid-season update. The LTM will drop players in a randomized set of party-themed minigames, with score limits and Scorestreaks disabled. Matches take place across Babylon, Grind, Nuketown, and Skyline, with the top three scoring Operators winning the competition.

The minigames at the heart of the mode include wild challenges like the Dance Off, tasking Operators to get down and funky in the designated dance zones. The Musical Zones minigame will be added later in the season, featuring multiple capture points that dwindle down to a final location when the music stops.

Beavis and Butt-Head Event

The cartoonic and comedic duo of Beavis and Butt-Head are entering the battlefield with Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded. They’ll make their Call of Duty debut via a special event titled, you guessed it, Beavis and Butt-Head. The limited-time campaign will be a standard XP collection event, complete with a free and a premium rewards track.

The second event that arrives some time later is called CODtoons. Details on it are scarce, but we do know that it’ll feature a unique playlist filled with cel-shaded multiplayer maps. Grinding this event could earn you rewards such as the TR2 CQB Auto Conversion weapon attachment and a special Weapon Camo.

New Zombies Content

Two new LTMs are coming to Zombies mode in Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded:

  • Starting Room
  • Abomination Challenges

Starting Room takes inspiration from the classic ‘Moon’ Zombies map and locks players into the first zone of the selected map. This modifier automatically gets rid of important tools such as the Pack-A-Punch, Mystery Boxes, Gobblegums, and more. Despite this, the undead hordes remain as ravenous as ever, and the goal is to survive to the highest round possible.

The second new LTM, Abomination Challenges, transports the Zombies crew to a warped version of Liberty Falls featuring cel-shaded visuals to hunt down an ultra-powered-up Abomination named Mo. The LTM comes with a number of modifiers, including an altered version of the Zombies Snacks ruleset for health, meaning you need to secure Snacks dropped as ground loot to increase your health once you’ve taken damage.

And that is everything you need to know about the upcoming Black Ops 6 Season 4 Reloaded update. What do you make of all the new content? Be sure to let us know in the comments.
