Ever since the release of One Piece, Nami continues to reign supreme as the most popular female character in the series. The navigator of the Straw Hats is one of Oda’s beloved creations and is a fashion icon among the other characters. In each new One Piece arc, Nami dons various outfits but some of them remain crowd-pleasers to this day. So, today, I have listed some of the best and fan-favorite outfits that Nami wore in One Piece.
10. Skypiea Outfit
Inspired by beach-day costumes, the creator of One Piece created sporty outfits for the Straw Hats Pirates‘ adventure in the Sky Islands. So, Nami wore a blue camouflage-pattern bikini top with dark brown pants.
Oda has been drafting bikini tops from Arabasta for Nami, and it continued in the Skypiea arc with this well-like beachy outfit for Nami.
9. Egghead Outfit
The futuristic pastel pink outfit, which debuted in the Egghead Island arc, was the latest addition to Nami’s wardrobe, and it has already become a fan favorite. Oda drew modern hoodies and jackets as the Straw Hats outfits at Egghead. So, Nami was presented with a white sleeveless hoodie.
This outfit was made by Vegapunk’s special science group (SSG), and their logo can be found on the front. Moreover, Nami can be seen wearing headphones, which complement her futuristic outfit.
8. Return to Saboady Outfit
After the Straw Hats got separated while fighting Kuma on Sabody, the crew reunited on the same island after two years. The time-skip led to major updates in all the Straw Hats’ character designs. In line with that, our favorite pirates received new outfits along with the makeover.
Nami made an enchanting return with a green and white striped bikini top with high-waisted blue jeans. It may be a casual outfit yet it remains popular among the fans.
7. Ennies Lobby Outfit
Fans always wanted to see Nami in an uber-cool and chic outfit, and Oda granted their wish in the Ennies Lobby arc. Nami donned a bikini-style top and a blue open jacket on top to unleash her stylishness. Again, this may be a simple outfit, but the overall look is trendy and makes Nami more swaggy in this arc.
6. Arlong Park Outfit
The Arlong Park was one of the best arcs in One Piece history and it featured Nami’s famous green tank top outfit. It had clover-like shapes printed on it in a dark green color. Oda chose a sleeveless option here to highlight the Arlong tattoo on her left hand more clearly.
The sleeveless design also helped call attention to the moment when she stabbed the tattoo with her knife in the same arc. When Luffy left his straw hat with Nami, it made this outfit even more special, like icing on top of a cake.
5. Wano Outfits
In some of the long-running One Piece arcs like Wano, Nami switched outfits multiple times in a single arc. For example — she wore seven different dresses in the Wano Country arc.
Oda’s fan service continued at the start of this arc, which you can see in Nami’s best pirate outfit, a bikini top with a skirt once again. But my favorites are the traditional Japanese-style kunoichi outfits with flower patterns. Since Wano had a Feudal Japan setting, these outfits showed off her traditional side.
4. Arabasta Outfit
The Straw Hats received new outfits during their trip to the desert kingdom, Arabasta. Oda opted for Middle Eastern outfits suiting the location for this arc. Nami, as expected, was given a bikini top and a skirt in blue and purple colors.
To further suit the Middle Eastern theme, she also put on a golden necklace and bands on her arm to make her Arabian-inspired outfit more appealing. It was one of the most extravagant outfits we saw Nami wear in the anime series.
3. Whole Cake Island Outfits
The Whole Cake Island arc was primarily inspired by the many fairy tales we read in our childhood. Hence, we first see Nami wear a classic puffy fairy tale dress similar to a barmaid outfit. Next up, she wore a sleek and modern crimson red dress with a high neck, which is my personal favorite out of the three here.
Last but not least, Nami put on a stylish white sweater with long sleeves at the end of the WCI arc. All of Nami’s outfits stood out in this arc but these three outfits in particular secured a place in our all-time best outfits list.
2. Zou Outfit
Oda took a break from the regular casual outfits and adorned Nami in lavishly graceful apparel in the Zou arc. Her exotic violet dress with a crisscross lace-up design turned out to be a national treasure of the Minks.
Moreover, Nami wore golden bead chains across her body and hair to further elevate the glamorous beauty of this outfit. The national treasure of Zou was such a befitting elegant outfit for our beloved navigator and no wonder it was extremely popular among the fans.
1. Original Pre-Time Skip Outfit
As we saw above, Nami boasts a luxurious collection of outfits, but the one that is still iconic to this date is her casual t-shirt and skirt from the Orange Town arc. We see her wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt with a v-shaped neckline in blue and white stripes and an orange skirt.
Yes, the very first outfit of Nami is an all-timer because it is still celebrated by fans and remains the go-to option for every Nami cosplayer. Nami gets recruited as the navigator of the Straw Hats while wearing this outfit, and this blue and white t-shirt perfectly encapsulates that nostalgia.
