I don’t advocate using AI to write content, but sometimes it can help you articulate your point better. However, spotting AI-written content is extremely easy, since it uses nuanced words, em dashes, negations, and too much unnecessary fluff. That is why I set out to find the best AI humanizers that can help your content sound human-written, and after testing over 40 tools, here are the best AI Humanizer tools I would recommend.
My Top 3 AI Humanizer Tools

How We Tested the Best AI Humanizers?
To evaluate the best AI Humanizers, we produced AI-generated text from ChatGPT and asked each tool to make it sound like human-writing. While we went through the humanized text manually, we also used built-in AI detector tools to check if the text bypasses AI detection. After testing over 40 AI humanizer tools, we narrowed it down to just 8, all of which bypassed the detection successfully.
We also kept the same text sample across all the tools to make the test fair for each AI humanizer tool. Apart from that, while humanizing text, it’s important that the produced text doesn’t alter the original meaning and flow. Finally, we also considered ease of use, customization options and pricing to find the best AI humanizers.
Best AI Humanizer Tools Compared
After reviewing a bunch of tools, I found Walter AI to be the best AI humanizer. In addition, GPTInf continues to gain ground, and some new ones like StealthWriter.ai and Humanizer Pro are also getting popular. Here, we have added eight such AI tools to humanize AI-generated text so check them out.
Walter AI: Best AI Humanizer to Bypass Detection
In my search for the best AI humanizer tools, I came across Walter AI. It claims to rewrite AI-generated text from ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude into human-like text. So, I opened its website and pasted a small essay written by ChatGPT. I kept the readability level as University and purpose as General. Walter AI also lets you customize the detection bypass level, which was Simple in my case.
For premium subscribers, you can even choose Standard or Enhanced bypass level. Anyway, once I pasted the text, within a few seconds, it humanized the whole essay. Before running AI detection, I read the generated text, and it indeed sounded like something written by a human. Finally, I pasted the text into the AI detector tool, and voila, it passed the detection without any issues.
In fact, the humanized text doesn’t just pass detection, you also get two more drafts so that is great. Just to be sure, I also pasted a paragraph from Claude, and asked Walter AI to humanize it. And again, it passed AI detection. While Walter AI is indeed more reliable than others, its free plan is not usable. You would run out of credits just after 300 words.
So, if you wish to use a reliable AI humanizer tool, you should get a paid plan which starts at $8 per month. It offers 30,000 words per month and supports over 80 languages.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Generates human-like text with natural tone | Only 300 words limit under the free tier |
| Bypasses AI detection | |
| Can humanize text written by ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude |
Pricing: Free with 300 words limit, Paid plan starts at $8 per month
GPTinf: Best AI Humanizer for Keyword Freezing
GPTinf is the best AI Humanizer, specifically for SEO teams, students and researchers, because it offers the ability to ‘Freeze‘ or skip certain words from being rewritten. It lets you adjust the tone of the text and checks the humanized content across several detectors. I started my testing with the ChatGPT-generated text and within seconds, it produced a humanized copy.
The best part is that GPTinf checks the humanized text across several AI detector tools including Turnitin, Copyleaks, Originality.AI, and more. In this case, only 1% of the text was detected as AI-written. Basically, I was able to turn AI-generated text into human-written text without any major detection.
I read the humanized output and it sounded natural and there were no typical AI phrases. That said, the free version only allows you to paste 120 words at a time, which is a bummer. But for short-form text, GPTinf is an amazing AI humanizer, and you also get the keyword freezing feature.
Pros Cons Pick the tone for the content 120 word limit under the free version Checks rewritten content across several detectors Pay to get access to features like selective rephrasing and unlimited word freezing Improves readability of text Simple design and easy to use
Pricing: Free, Lite plan starts at $9.99/month
Humanizer Pro: Best AI Humanizer for Academic Writing
Next, I tested Humanizer Pro and I was impressed by its clean interface. While it asked me to sign in, the extra steps were worth it. After pasting the ChatGPT-generated text, Humanizer Pro quickly turned it into genuine human writing. I read through it and the output text sounded very natural and replaced the robotic phrasing of AI-generated text.
I went ahead and ran an AI detector tool on the humanized text, and again, it showed 87% probability that it was written by a human. It cleared up unnecessary fluff, cutting straight to the point and delivering a natural-sounding version.
You can paste up to an 80-word paragraph in the free version, but the Pro plans unlock larger text support. Humanizer Pro also gives you a human score right below, so you can be confident that no AI detector will catch the humanized text.
Apart from that, there are many customization options including Advanced mode to bypass detection, and Purpose where you can define the type of audience. I would suggest if you truly want the best humanized AI tool, you should subscribe to its paid plan, which unlocks the PRO Engine. It can even bypass Turnitin, ZeroGPT, and Copyleaks.
Pros Cons Easy to operate tool Word limit on the free plan Very reliable tool for humanizing text Gives a human score for every humanized text Cuts down on unnecessary fluff
Pricing: Free, Basic plan starts at $12/month
QuillBot Humanizer: Best Writing Assistant with AI Humanization
You might have heard about QuillBot since it is such a popular paraphrasing tool. But did you know that it also has its own AI Humanizer, which can effectively replace ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot-generated fluff with simpler wording. I pasted the AI-written text into QuillBot and asked it to humanize it. And to my surprise, the built-in AI detector couldn’t recognize the generated text.
Note that QuillBot offers two modes: Basic and Advanced. Basic is available to signed-out users, so I will suggest signing in with an account to access the Advanced mode. During my testing, the output from Advanced mode bypassed AI detector tools so it’s worth it. In addition, you can click on each sentence and quickly change the sentence structure right there. Its text editor is really intuitive.
Besides that, QuillBot has support for multiple languages and you can choose the tone as well. Even if you don’t get the paid plan, QuillBot’s free offerings are pretty good as it offers an all-in-one AI writing assistant with support for grammar checker, plagiarism checker, and more.
Pros Cons Lets you directly upload documents for quick rewrite More advanced tone settings are exclusive to the paid plan only Support multiple languages Limited text customization options Can change the tone of the content Generous free tool
Pricing: Free, Paid plan available for $4.17/month
StealthWriter.ai: Best AI Humanizer for Multiple Rewrite Modes
Next, I stumbled upon StealthWriter.ai, and I liked it because it has its own custom AI models for humanizing AI-generated text. First off, its Ghost 4.6 AI models are designed to remove unnecessary adjectives and adverbs from AI-written text. Secondly, it detects those words which are likely generated by AI chatbots.
It takes all of these signals, and churns out text which sounds pretty natural and human-like. I was on the free plan, and it let me choose the detector level, custom AI model, and other humanization settings. To make the test fair, I pasted the same ChatGPT-generated text, and StealthWriter.ai paraphrased the essay and made it more readable.
I also put the humanized text through the AI detector and it said that the content appears 100% written by a human. You could even change the Detector level to Strict to make it even harder for AI detectors to identify your content. And if an AI tool detects your content, you can use the Humanize More button or increase the level.
Pros Cons Up to 20 humanization of 1,00o words each Pro model is not available in the free version Pick different models Could make mistakes in complex sentences Lets you adjust the writing style Can create multiple drafts
Pricing: Free, Basic plan available for $20/month
RewriterPro.ai: Best AI Humanizer for Emotional Tone Customization
What really separates human content from AI is emotion, the thought behind it, and the tone. Thankfully, RewriterPro lets you adjust all of that and paraphrases AI writing according to your choices. So you can transform bland AI-generated text to sound emotional and sympathetic or optimistic.
To evaluate RewriterPro, I pasted the ChatGPT-generated text on AI revolution vs Industrial revolution. Note that it didn’t ask me to create an account so that is nice. Now, I kept everything as default, and asked the tool to rewrite it. Its built-in AI detection tool processed the humanized text and said that 14% of the text is written by AI, which is not bad.
Next, I also played with its tone, emotion and audience settings. While it does a good job, I spotted some spelling mistakes in the Casual mode. I would suggest using this tool at default settings. Overall, this AI humanizer lets you rephrase up to five copies per day in the free version, making it suitable for students and professionals alike.
Pros Cons Lets you pick emotion, tone, and fluency Limited access to features in the free version Offers up to 5 rephrasing per day for free Very good at humanizing AI content Supports multi-language paraphrasing
Pricing: Free, paid plan starts at $9.95/month
Writehuman.ai: Best AI Humanizer to Bypass Turnitin
Another good option that I have found is Writehuman.ai. This tool also converts AI wording into human-like content and does a pretty convincing job at that. It lets you choose the tone of content, so it sounds more human. You can choose the following tones:
- Standard
- Academic
- Casual
- Creative
- Technical
Apart from that, its Enhanced Model tricks even the most stringent AI detectors such as Turnitin and Originality 3.0. I used the free version and pasted the AI-generated text on AI vs Industrial revolution. After humanizing the text, it passed detection with 93% human score. That’s pretty good, right? In addition, it generates two outputs, so you can use the most appropriate one.
What I don’t like about Writehuman is that it lets you humanize only 200 words at a time. If you have long-form content, you should get the paid version to process multiple requests at once. Having said that, for free users, I think this AI humanizer tool is pretty good for the quality of output it generates.
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Writes convincingly human text | Free option only offers 200 words rephrasing |
| Tricks several AI detectors | Enhanced model locked behind paid plans |
| Lets you customize the tone | Lacks deeper customization of text |
| Shows human score of rewritten text |
Pricing: Free, Basic plan starts at $18/month
Rephrasy: Best AI Humanizer App for Mobile Users
Rephrasy caught my attention because it’s designed primarily as a mobile app. For smartphone users, Rephrasy is the best AI app for humanizing AI-written text and you can download it on your Android and iOS device. I tested the tool on its website and pasted the short essay generated from ChatGPT. In the first few tries, all its output were generated by AI detector tools.
However, after I pasted Claude’s output, Rephrasy humanized the text somewhat better. It received 41% score that the text is likely AI-generated. While it’s not great, I must say that I was using the free version. Its paid plan lets you use an Undetectable model which can trick many AI detectors out there.
Apart from that, its 100-word limit is very low and you can quickly run out of credits after three runs. Overall, for those users who want a mobile-first experience for humanizing text, Rephrasy is a tool you can consider.
Pros Cons Humanize short text content 100-word limit Better compatibility with Claude-generated text Only 3 credits for free users Offers Undetectable model Check produced text across multiple detectors
Pricing: Free, Paid plan starts at $8.25 per month
These are the best AI humanizer tools that are available out there. All of them are quite competent in turning AI-generated writing into human-like text. If you have any suggestions or think that I missed any tool that you highly recommend, then let us know in the comments section below.
In my testing, I found the Walter AI Humanizer to be the most accurate AI humanizer. It makes any AI writing sound like human-writing and bypasses major AI detectors.
If you don’t want to use an AI humanizer tool, and wish to use an AI chatbot that sounds more like human, then I would suggest using the Claude AI chatbot. It sounds very much like human, and unlike ChatGPT, it doesn’t have the robotic tone.
ChatGPT doesn’t have a standalone humanizer, but you can use third-party tools like Walter AI Humanizer, GPTInf, etc. to make your text sound more like human writing.
