Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses Quest Guide

Embark Studios has added a new set of quests with the Riven Tides update, allowing players to grind for free rewards and items that can help them out in the Rust Belt. Granted by Apollo, the Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest tasks players with reinforcing key infrastructure on the Riven Tides map. Here is everything you need to know about completing this quest.

How to Complete Shoring Up Defenses Quest in Arc Raiders

The Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest features four distinct objectives that require a mix of combat with Arc enemies, scavenging, and environmental interaction. While you can choose to finish these across multiple raids, you can often knock out all of the objectives in a single run if you are prepared enough.

Here is a breakdown of each step you need to follow for the Shoring Up Defenses quest:

1. Destroy 5 Wasps & 3 Fireflies

For the most straightforward step of the Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest, you need to destroy 5 Wasps and 3 Fireflies. You can easily find these enemies all across the new Riven Tides map.

However, it is recommended that you head to the Stacking Yard location for the best chance to come across a ton of Wasps and Fireflies. Destroying these enemies at the Stacking Yard will also help in another step of the quest.

2. Reinforce the Raider Structure on Top of any Stacking Yard Crane

For the next step in Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest, you will need to locate and reinforce a Raider structure that sits on top of the Stacking Yard cranes. Before getting on this, make sure you have at least 1 ARC Alloy, an important material for Arc Raiders Workbench upgrades, in your inventory.

You can either bring an ARC Alloy into a match with you, or you can simply search one of the Wasps or Fireflies that you took down to have a chance at finding one. Since this is an important part of the process, it is highly recommended that you place the ARC Alloy in your Safe Pocket after acquiring it.

Once you have your alloy ready, you will need to ascend to the top of one of the Stacking Yard cranes. You can do this via the internal stairs (the slower method) or via external ziplines (the quicker way). Once you are at the top, look for a makeshift Raider shelter and interact with the frame to use your ARC Alloy and reinforce the structure.

3. Board Up Shuttered Windows in the Hotel

For the last step of the Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest, head to the western side of the Riven Tides map to Hotel Panorama Azzurro. Enter the building and head to the second floor. Here, look for the guest rooms facing the shoreline.

Inside these rooms, you will find highlighted window frames that have had their shutters damaged. Interact with these windows to board them up and complete the final objective.

After completing the objectives, you can extract and return to Speranza and speak with Apollo to claim your loot. Here are all the rewards you can earn through the Arc Raiders Shoring Up Defenses quest:

• 5 Li’l Smoke Grenades
• 3 Shrapnel Grenades
• 3 Barricade Kits

Along with these rewards, you will also gain Merits from the XP you earned, which will act towards progress for the Arc Raiders Last Resort event.
