Protection is just as important as firepower when trying to survive the chaos of Speranza in Arc Raiders. There are multiple healing options available, but when it comes to staying upright in a fight, shields are your true line of defense. In this guide, we break down every shield in Arc Raiders, including their stats, how they work, and how to obtain and use them effectively.
List of All Arc Raiders Shields
While some shields are available right away, for the high-level ones, players need the Raiders Augment. Moreover, shields have durability that is repairable from the medical crafting bench. They can be purchased from a trader or crafted in different crafting benches as well. That said, below is the list of all available shields in Arc Raiders.
| Shield Type | Description | Stats | Crafting Recipe | Lance Trader Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Light Shield | A lightweight shield that offers limited protection without severely impacting mobility. Requires no Raider Augment | Shield Charge: 50 Damage Mitigation: 23% Movement Impact: None | 1x ARC Alloy 8x Fabric | $2000 |
| Medium Shield | A standard shield that offers fair protection at a moderate cost to mobility. Requires Raider Augments II+ | Shield Charge: 80 Damage Mitigation: 45% Movement Impact: -5% Weight: 7kg | 4x ARC Alloy 2x Voltage Converter | $6000 |
| Heavy Shield | A heavy shield that offers strong protection at a significant cost to mobility. Requires Raider Augments III+ | Shield Charge: 120 Damage Mitigation: 65% Movement Impact: -15% Weight: 10kg | 10x ARC Alloy 5x Voltage Converter | $15000 |
How Do Shields Work in Arc Raiders
In the game, the blue bar above the Raider’s health bar denotes shield points. Every box in the shield bar means 10 shield points in the game. Unlike many games, shields are not bonus health. This means when you hit an enemy with weapons in Arc Raiders, the shields take a portion of the damage.
Shield damage depends on the weapon used or the body part you shoot. This makes it knock an enemy without completely breaking the shield. Moreover, despite the shields bulking up your weight, with the right Arc Raiders skills, you can get lighter. However, even after all points in the “Used to the weight” skill, it will not remove shield weight completely.

How to Use Shields in Arc Raiders
After crafting the shields or purchasing them from Lance, you can use the shield in your loadout. To do so, drag the shield from the bag to the shield slot. However, to equip medium or heavy shields in Arc Raiders, the raider needs higher-level Raider Augments. You can only switch the shields before going into a raid. But what about mid-game? Well, that takes us to the next section, recharging the shields.
How to Recharge Shields in Arc Raiders
To recharge your shield in the game, you must use some specific items. These items instantly heal several shield points after channeling. Here is the list of shield recharging items available in Arc Raiders:
| Item | Shield Point | Use Time | Crafting Recipe | Buy Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ARC Powercell | 20 | 3s | N/A | N/A |
| Shield Recharger | 4/s | 2s | – 5x Rubber Parts – 1x ARC Powercell (Med Station I Basic Bench) | $1560 (Lance) |
| Surge Shield Recharger | 50 | 5s | – 1x Electrical Components – 1x Advanced ARC Powercell (Med Staton II) | $3600 (Lance) |
