Will 007 First Light Be on Game Pass?

007 First Light has turned out to be one of the most exciting spy-action releases in recent years. Developed by IO Interactive, the studio behind the famous Hitman franchise, the game takes players back to the origins of James Bond and tells us the very story that made him the iconic spy we love. Right after the release, a lot of fans have the same question in mind: Will 007 First Light be on Game Pass on Xbox? So, here’s everything you need to know.

Is 007 First Light Coming to Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, 007 First Light is currently not confirmed for the Xbox Game Pass. At the time of writing, neither Xbox nor IO Interactive has made any official announcement about the game joining this subscription service.

The title has been released on Xbox Series X/S, alongside other platforms such as PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store). Moreover, in the lineup of games released for the Xbox Game Pass games, there was no mention of 007 First Light as well.

However, this is not surprising either because 007 First Light is made by IO Interactive and is not even an Xbox Studios first-party title. And these third-party releases are not guaranteed to arrive on the Game Pass from day one.

That said, this also doesn’t completely rule out the possibility of a third-party title never arriving in the monthly service some time later. Xbox frequently partners with third-party publishers, especially when they gain strong momentum among players.

007 First Light is a fresh take on the James Bond universe where players don’t readily experience the legendary spy after he’s all mature and experienced. Instead, they step into Bond’s shoes right from his days in the Navy and walk through his journey of becoming a 00 agent, officially earning his license to kill.

007 First Light missions are a mix of gameplay and cutscenes where James Bond goes through training for the 00 programme, obtains some of the coolest gadgets, and discovers the massive political conspiracy within MI6.
