Nintendo has been mum about The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake’s release date, but a Swiss retailer may have just revealed it. According to retailer World of Games’ listing, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake releases on December 1, 2026.
Eagle-eyed Reddit user u/MaybeSwiss spotted the release date on the Swiss retailer’s website and noted that World of Games has previously listed games with their correct release date before Nintendo’s official announcements.
The Reddit user used Devil May Cry 5: Devil Hunter Edition on Switch as an example, claiming that World of Games previously leaked its release date.
However, December 1 could simply be a placeholder date. Nintendo previously confirmed that The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake would release in late 2026 on the Nintendo Switch 2, so a December 1 release doesn’t seem far-fetched.
GTA 6’s release on November 19, 2026, wouldn’t necessarily concern Nintendo either, since the games target different platforms. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, while Rockstar’s upcoming open-world title is a timed console exclusive.
The Swiss retailer also lists a synopsis for the game, stating, “You travel with the legendary Link through the kingdom of Hyrule and even through time to thwart the plans of the evil Ganondorf,” which is the plot of the 1988 N64 classic.
Nintendo previously revealed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake at a Nintendo Direct in June 2026 with a one-and-a-half-minute teaser, showcasing the tale of Link, the boy without a fairy companion, born in the mysterious lands of Hyrule.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Remake’s possible December 1 release date would add to the string of major releases coming in 2026. Nintendo is also having a strong year, with its partnership with FromSoftware bringing The Duskbloods exclusively to Switch 2 alongside the return of one of the most beloved Zelda games for a newer generation.
