Xiaomi Offers a Sneak Peek at Upcoming Mi CC9 Smartphone

Xiaomi shows off Mi CC9 smartphone; launching July 2

Xiaomi just doesn’t know how to sit still and take a deep breath. After the much-awaited Redmi K20 series launch earlier last month, the Chinese giant is now unveiling a new “Mi CC9 series” in China on July 2. With only a week to go until the launch, Xiaomi has today shared official renders of the device to give us a sneak peek at the Mi CC9.

One can clearly see in the image attached below, Mi CC9 will feature an alluring gradient finish and build that makes it look very much like recently launched Huawei phones. And well, the white color is reminiscent of the Prism White Galaxy S10+ and the Pearl White P30 Pro. It looks quite gorgeous in that glossy white back panel.

Apart from the white color gradient, Xiaomi has also teased a new blue color gradient on Weibo. I’m not going to lie, these colors sure are cool and chic, in line with Xiaomi’s new brand message, but they resemble gradient back on other phones. The blue color here is resemblant to the Realme 3 Pro, both the blue+purple color combo and the light streaks.

Putting the looks aside, the renders further reveal that Mi CC9 will feature a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. There’s also a 32MP selfie snapper equipped in the oh-so-common waterdrop notch-style display on the front. These images also show off the USB-C charging port and speakers at the bottom, along with the 3.5mm headphone jack up top.

There’s no concrete information on the internal specs of the Mi CC9, but you can read about rumors and leaks for the 2 variants right here. Xiaomi could also have a few surprises up its sleeves since it’s adding newer mid-range devices to its already flush portfolio of Mi-branded smartphones.
