It is finally time for the Xbox Games Showcase, and expect some epic announcements. This will be the first show after Asha Sharma took the reins from Phil Spencer, and she is planning some big changes. Gears of War E-Day
The livestream started with a bang, with a full gameplay reveal of Gears of War E-Day. The gameplay reveal showcased our lead blasting through enemies, even including a massive spider monster. We also saw a bit of melee combat, with a ton of finishers. And at the end, we finally got a look at Marcus Pheonix. Gears of War E-Day will be released on October 6, 2026, and it will be an Xbox console exclusive.
Fable
Fable‘s new cinematic trailer dropped second, and it showcased a gloomy atmosphere compared to the colorful gameplay trailer revealed earlier. The game will launch on February 23, 2027.
Halo Campaign Evolved
The new Halo is also here, and it looks incredible. From the iconic laser guns and strategic gameplay style. The gameplay showed the iconic Master Chief in full action mode, blasting through aliens. Halo Campaign Evolved will add three new missions and is set to release on July 28, 2026.
Resonance A Plage Tale Legacy
Another iconic sequel is back in 2026, and it is Resonance A Plague Tale Legacy. The trailer showcased gameplay and touched a bit on the new story. The game continues to look creepy like the previous games, and it is coming out on August 27, 2026.
Persona 4 Revival
The next game announcement on Xbox Game Showcase is Persona 4 Revival. We finally have a release date for it, and it is coming out on February 18, 2027. The gameplay showcased the same Persona style fans are familiar with, so expect a stunning combat with a ton of creepy bosses like before.

Sea of Thieves is one of the most played games, and it is finally getting a major free update. The new update will add Custom Seas, allowing players to create new game modes in a similar style to Fortnite. The update will be pushed out on June 18, 2026.
Metro 2039
The new Metro is here, and it looks better than ever. Metro 2039 will be the latest entry to the franchise, and it will feature the same first-person shooter as always, set in a creepy, dark setting. The game is set to release in February 2027.
Bag Magpie
If you were tired from all the action thus far, Bag Magpie is here to rescue you. The game looks like a cute story following a magpie with one wing, but don’t expect it to be all fun, as the game clearly exerts a troubling storyline. Bag Magpie is set to release in 2027.
Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember
Fans of Team Ninja can rejoice as Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is the next game announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Expect a ton of action set in traditional Japanese swordplay like before, with a touch of mysticism like always. Wo Long 2: Wings of Ember is set to release in early 2027.

Another fun new game is Join Us, announced next in the Xbox Game Showcase 2026. The game is all about starting your own doomsday cult. Recruit followers, build compounds, and even customize your cult’s belief system! The game will be a 4-player co-op and is set to release in March 2027.
Senua
Senua is the new action-adventure set in the Hellblade Universe. If you enjoyed Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga, then you should be overjoyed by this new game’s announcement. Senua is a Celtic warrior trapped between life and death in a fractured vision of purgatory. The gameplay looks stunning, and we expect a ton of action. Senua is expected to release in 2027.
Doom: The Dark Ages Revelations
Doom the Dark Ages was one of the best Doom games yet, featuring an epic campaign. If you wanted more from Doom, then here is Revelations, the new DLC for Dark Ages. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Xbox, Microsoft has announced a new Xbox 25th anniversary collection limited edition console. It looks amazing with the original green color and a translucent cabinet. Even the controller features the same features. The new limited edition console will be released in November 2026.
