Who Is Sasaki in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Jujutsu Kaisen is majorly all about curses and sorcery, so Sasaki is someone who embodies the everyday world that exists outside. Sasaki is a high school student connected to Yuji Itadori; she, in fact, knew our main protagonist when he lived a normal life, not the one he is pulled into as the story progresses. Sasaki was always fascinated with the supernatural, so one night, she, along with Takeshi Iguchi, a fellow member of the Occult Research Club, sneaked into Sugisawa Third Municipal High School. There, they find a box sealed with a talisman in the school’s store room. Sasaki and Iguchi removed that protective seal and discovered a rotten finger in the box.
Sasaki was freaked out by the finger’s gross appearance, but yeah, she didn’t panic instantly. However, what began as a fun occult game didn’t take long to turn into a nightmare when a curse emerged before them. However, before the duo gets killed, Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro intervene and save them. Well, Sasaki somehow also became the indirect reason why Yuji ate Sukuna’s finger and helped him to incarnate. If it weren’t for protecting Sasaki and Iguchi, Yuji would never have made such a decision.
After that incident, Sasaki entered the game again in the Jujutsu Kaisen Culling Game arc, where we see Pseudo Geto, aka. Kenjaku, showing up in her sleep. The sorcerer explained to her that she is already in the barrier of a killing game called the Culling Game, so if she wants to leave, she will only get one chance after she wakes up. Kajaku also says her thanks for being nice to my son. Well, even though she is a minor character introduced in the series, we can’t deny that she certainly grabbed the attention of the community with her brief yet memorable appearance in JJK Season 3.

In the Japanese version, Sasaki is voiced by Mariya Ise, and in english dub, the character is voiced by Xanthe Huynh.
