Who Is Rin Amai in JJK Culling Game?

Rin Amai belongs to Yuji’s hometown and is forced to side with Hanyu and Haba while they fight and kill others to earn points in the Culling Game. Haba encounters Yuji, and they both get engaged in a fight. Rin watches the latter from afar and recognizes him. Rin was basically one of those who would not stand for others, as he did not want to draw the bad guys’ attention. So, in the past, when Yuji protected one of Rin’s classmates from the bullies, Rin got fearful of his fighting abilities. So, to make up for his cowardice, he decides to help Yuji by revealing Hiromi Higuruma’s location in the Culling Game.
Unlike the selfish players like Remi, Rin’s apology is honest; he truly feels that he shouldn’t have stayed still that day, instead, he should have helped his classmate who was being ill-treated by the bullies. In addition, like the powerful players in the game, Rin also doesn’t harbour any extraordinary skill. He only has a cursed technique called Sugar Manipulation, which allows him to aid injured people, making him more of a medic.
Why Rin Amai Matters in Jujutsu Kaisen?
Rin Amai isn’t a skillful fighter in Jujutsu Kaisen, but that doesn’t make him any less important for the story. He is the person to guide Yuji to Higuruma‘s base of operations in the first place. Later, he serves as the medical support and aids several characters during the Culling Game as well as the Shinjuku Showdown arc.
Rin also prevents Hana Kurusu’s death when she was almost killed by Sukuna. In the final arcs, he proves to be one of the biggest supports anyone could have asked for on the battlefield. In fact, if Rin weren’t there during the final showdown, Yuta Okkotsu would have died after Sukuna gave him the fatal injuries.
Who Voices Rin Amai in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3?
Soma Saito voices Rin Amai in the Japanese version of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. He has previously voiced Hyōma Chigiri in Blue Lock, Himura Kenshin in Rurouni Kenshin, Takumi Miyasaki in Astro Note, and more. The English voice actor for the character is yet to be announced.
