Who Is the Horned Monster in Fallout Season 2 Episode 4 Ending

Fallout Season 2 was one of the most anticipated releases for 2025, and that anticipation has been carried forward to 2026 with episode 4 of Season 2. So far, the series has given us some interesting plot lines while being true to the source material for the most part, and with this brand new episode, we have been introduced to another formidable creature of the Wasteland, a horned monster known in the games as the Deathclaw. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at who this horned monster, AKA Deathclaw, is in Fallout Season 2 Episode 4.

Who Is the Deathclaw in Fallout Games?

The horned monster seen in Fallout Season 2, Episode 4, or the Deathclaw was created by the United States Government. The idea behind the creation of these creatures was to save human troops in high-risk deployments. They planned on deploying the Deathclaws on search and destroy or heavy combat missions as an expendable asset. These creatures were made by mixing the genes of multiple animals, and the main test subjects for the experiment were Jackson’s chameleons.

After the nuclear attacks, the surviving Deathclaws escaped to the wilderness of the wasteland, and their population grew in great numbers and spread all over America, or whatever was left of it. These creatures eventually became a thing of legend for Wastelanders, and an encounter with one of them was certain death.

Scientists of the surviving factions, especially the Enclave, were fascinated by Deathclaws and, around 2235, were able to conduct experiments and successfully breed specimens of Deathclaws that could be used for combat as originally intended. These versions were trainable and intelligent. As of now, the only Deathclaw we have seen is in Ghoul’s flashbacks, so we will have to wait a while to see what the future holds for these creatures in Fallout Season 2, and as we see something more, we will let you guys in on it ASAP.
