- Fallout Season 2 episode four reveals that the New Vegas Strip is in ruin.
- The once bustling hub of commerce has been abandoned after being taken over by Deathclaws.
- It's unclear exactly how the Strip fell.
The New Vegas Strip from Fallout: New Vegas is one of the most iconic locations in video game history. Naturally, fans couldn’t wait to see how the Strip looks in live-action, and that is precisely what episode four of Fallout Season 2 has delivered. The latest episode of Amazon Prime’s sci-fi hit sees the Ghoul and Lucy’s expedition to New Vegas reach its conclusion as they waltz into the vaunted Strip.
Unlike the game, however, they aren’t greeted by bustling streets and the dazzling glow of casinos, and instead, the show takes a few creative liberties. If you’re wondering what these are and what happens to the Strip in Fallout Season 2, here’s everything to know.

Fallout Season 2: The Fate of the New Vegas Strip Explained

If you paid attention to the ending credits of Fallout Season 1’s finale, you’ll remember that the Strip looked desolate. There appeared to be debris from a crashed vertibird on the central road, as well as skeletons adorning the streets. Fallout Season 2 translates these visuals into live-action, with the New Vegas Strip being entirely abandoned and looking worse for wear.
In fact, the only residents of the Strip are Deathclaws – the most dangerous creatures in the Mojave. These menacing, mutated chameleons can rip anyone to shreds within seconds, and now, they’re all that’s left in the city. One of them surprises the Ghoul and Lucy by ripping through the doors of the Gomorrah, and it’ll be interesting to see them escape this predicament in the next episode.
In case you’re wondering how the Strip fell, we can’t say for sure. The show has yet to explain exactly how Mr. House‘s Securitrons were destroyed or how Deathclaws managed to get past the gate, but we’ll likely receive some much-needed answers in future episodes. As for my two cents, this is a working theory, so bear with me – what if Mr. House installed the mysterious brain chips on Deathclaws to diminish the NCR and Legion threats once and for all? Far-fetched, I know. But until the official reveal, anything’s possible.
And that is everything you need to know about the state of the New Vegas Strip in Fallout Season 2. How do you think the Strip fell? Let us know in the comments.
