Disney’s Pixar is an incredible studio that has given us not one but several great animated movies over the years. Whether it’s Up, Wall-E, or Monsters Inc., Pixar never failed to surprise us with great animation wrapped with memorable stories. 1. Toy Story 5

Toy Story has been one of the fan-favorite franchises since 1995, so it’s evident that fans never tire of it. As of now, the franchise has blessed the industry with four feature films, and the fifth one is currently in production. Toy Story 5 will see the traditional toys, including Woody and Buzz Lightyear, clash with the modern gadgets that have been capturing the attention of today’s kids. Besides all the old characters with whom we are already familiar, the upcoming installment will feature Smarty Pants, the potty training toy, who will be voiced by Conan O’Brien.

2. Incredibles 3

Announced at Disney’s D23 Expo, Incredibles 3 brings back the Parr family in action. This movie will be set in a retro-futuristic world where the lead family will be facing new challenges. Initially, Brad Bird, the original director, was supposed to return as a director, but later, Peter Sohn stepped forward to replace him as the director. However, Bird will still be a part of the upcoming installment as an executive producer and writer.

3. Hoppers

Hoppers is an upcoming science fiction animated movie that serves as Pixar’s 30th film. The film follows Mabel, an animal lover who transfers her consciousness into a robotic beaver to communicate with the animals and asks them to join her in the rally against the evil and greedy Mayor Jerry, who wants to destroy their habitat. The film is the directorial debut of Daniel Chong, who is mainly renowned for creating Cartoon Network’s We Bare Bears.

4. Frozen 3

The third installment of Frozen is all set to bring back the main characters- Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf for a new magical ride in Arendelle and beyond. Frozen 3 is undoubtedly one of the anticipated returning Pixar films that promises heartwarming sisterhood and new songs that will play in one’s head for several days.

5. Tron: Ares

Directed by Joachim Rønning, Tron: Ares is the direct sequel to Tron: Legacy, the 2010 film. To be precise, it has been marketed as a soft reboot that will surely connect the dots with the established lore, but will also introduce us to the new characters and several fresh elements. The story of the upcoming film sees an AI program making it to the real world from the digital world, encountering humankind for the first time. Therefore, Tron: Ares promises high-stakes action and emotional depth that will not only captivate the old fans but will also grab the attention of the new ones.

6. Gatto

Marking as the 32nd feature film of Pixar, Gatto is an original film that was announced during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The film revolves around a black cat named Nero, who has lived most of his life in the canals and streets of Venice, Italy. Also, she owes a debt to the feline mob boss, so when she crosses paths with Maya, a street artist, and forms an unlikely friendship, Nero discovers the true motive of his life. Nowadays, the CGIs have taken over the world, but Pixar’s Gatto stands out a bit differently as it flaunts the hand-painted aesthetics to capture Venice’s artistic texture.

7. Coco 2

This one is the sequel to the 2017 film that won Oscars for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. The film is scheduled for a 2029 release, so the major plot details are not yet revealed. However, the sequel might follow Miguel Rivera and his family as they handle the new challenges in the world of the living or the afterlife.
