The short answer to this is no. Sofia Falcone and Poison Ivy are two of Batman’s most difficult villains, but they have nothing in common. The show made it pretty clear that Sofia Falcone is indeed The Hangman. Even though she wasn’t responsible for all those deaths, this is what people started calling her after she ended up in Arkham Asylam because of her father. Fans got perplexed when she gassed her entire family except Gia and Johnny Viti. In the DC Comics, Poison Ivy is known for using poisonous gases (along with her many other abilities) against her enemies. So, that’s why the fanatics believed that Sofia could be or might become Poison Ivy.

However, Sofia killed the Falcone family by unleashing the poisonous gas because, at the moment, that was the best method she could use against the ones who betrayed her. It was merely a coincidence and not some Easter Egg, hinting that Sofia might be Poison Ivy.

That’s because, in the comics, Poison Ivy has the ability to control plants, but Sofia doesn’t have any connection to nature whatsoever. Poison Ivy shares a deep love for plant life. In fact, she becomes a villain because of what humanity does with nature. In contrast, Sofia is a character who lives in a concrete jungle and doesn’t spend a dine to save nature.

Sofia only flexes one title,i.e., The Hangman, but she doesn’t truly deserve this awful title that is associated with the crime she never committed. That being said, after being tortured and neglected for years, Sofia became exactly what the world thought of her: a murderer. She not only killed an innocent boy just to threaten Oz, but she also poisoned her entire family to get what she desired.
