Maronis, being the biggest rivals of the Falcones, were always on the hit list of the influential criminal family. However, following the death of Carmine and every other member of her family, Sofia decides to end the fruitless war between the two families that has been going on for ages. She also approaches Salvatore and offers him an alliance proposal that would help them fight Oz, who is one of the biggest reasons for their suffering.

Salvatore and Sofia are coming for Oz, so he has to find a place to execute his plans, which no one knows about. He takes Victor to the abandoned underground tunnels where he and his deceased brothers used to go when they were young. He tells Victor that the forgotten area of Gotham will give them access to the entire city. After exploring the place for a bit and remembering the good old days with his brothers, Oz asks Victor, Hey, Kid, do you know what grows in a humid place like this? Mushroom, Victor replies with excitement in his voice.

Since Oz is part of a business that sells drugs in the form of Mushrooms, this is a perfect place for them to manufacture the poison. Mushrooms grow in darkness, and the tunnel gives them excess to the entire Gotham. So, they have a place to manufacture drugs and a pathway through which they can expand their business in the entire city.
