Despite being one of the skilled and proficient Nen users, Kite is one of the most underrated characters that the series has introduced us to. Kite received the training from Ging and became one of the finest Nen users.
He even gained some of the most proficient abilities, including a deadly Hatsu called Crazy Slots. These abilities didn’t let him leave the world even after losing a fight against Pitou. He gets reborn as a female Chimera Ant with the memories of his past life.
7. Neferpitou
Neferpitou is one of the strongest characters in the world of Hunter x Hunter, with some of the greatest abilities. They are a royal guard of Meruem and boast some unmatched powers that even made the potent fighter Isaac Notero appreciate them.
Neferpitou has an immense vision that allows them to spot the enemies even if they are several kilometers away. Apart from that, they are a capable Nen user who was born with the ability to control their aura. Additionally, using the Nen ability, they can summon a clown-like entity, which, after getting attached to someone, even a corpse, gives Neferpitou the power to control them.

Biscuit is such a character of Hunter x Hunter who can make you fall for her cuteness. However, those who are familiar with her know that she is an elderly woman who uses her Nen ability to manipulate her physical appearance. Biscuit holds the power to compete with even the ones who are superior to her and give them a tough ride, even without trying that hard.
She is so incredibly strong that she even mentored our heroes, Gon and Killua. She taught them how to control their Nen ability and become stronger.
5. Killua Zoldyck
There’s no arguing with the fact that Killua is incredibly strong. The young boy from the family of legendary assassins is so terrifying that he pulled out a beating heart from a man’s chest. At the beginning of the series, he was even stronger than Gon. In fact, it was he who pushed Gon to unleash his full potential. Killua has incredible control over his Nen abilities, and he plays a crucial role in HXH’s story. Gon is the protagonist of the series, so it’s obvious that he is one of the strongest characters of Hunter x Hunter. The boy who started out being all cute and adorable turned out to be a monster by the end of the series. To be honest, Gon wasn’t exactly strong physically, but it was his determination that truly made him strong.
On top of that, Gon had incredible control over his Nen abilities. But even then, Gon wasn’t the strongest of all in HXH. Of course, he was truly fearsome and was able to defeat Neferpitou. But for that, he had to trade his childhood, so it’s hard to say that if he had been able to defeat the enemy with his usual appearance.
3. Meruem
Meruem, the leader of the Chimera Ant, was so incredibly strong in Hunter x Hunter that he would have brought the entire human race to its knees. He was born as a King, and he died a King. Unlike other villains, Meruem had a heart, and that is what led to his ultimate demise. Otherwise, Meruem had a godly amount of physical strength and an impressive control over his Nen abilities.
Honestly, he was strong enough to defeat even Gon and Killua if he had fought against them. But it’s a good thing that it was Isaac Netero who fought against this monster and ultimately defeated him.
2. Isaac Netero
Isaac Netero is one of the oldest and surely the strongest characters in Hunter x Hunter. He is the 12th chairman of the Hunters Association, and yes, he was the one who actually defeated the entire human race from Meruem’s wrath. If not for his ultimate sacrifice, Meruem would have lived.
However, the old man didn’t just surprise the Ant King with his incredible physical and Nen abilities, but he also sacrificed himself so that Miniature Rose inside his heart would explode. Meruem was in the blast radius, so the poison from Miniature Rose eventually killed him. Of course, Netero died during the fight, but it was he who defeated Meruem even after his death, which makes him one of the most powerful characters of Hunter x Hunter, in our opinion.
1. Alluka Zoldyck (Nanika)
Nanika is a mysterious entity from the Dark Continent that is residing within Alluka Zoldyck. While we have seen the potential of every HXH character, the power of Nanika is truly limitless. This dark and unknown entity has so much Nen that it can grant any wish. However, it fulfills these wishes only if the person in the forefront can complete the three tasks given by Nanika.
Of course, these tasks differ from person to person, and not everyone can complete them. For instance, after the Chimera Ant arc, Killua asks Nanika to heal Gon, which was almost impossible. However, once Killua was able to complete the tasks, Nanika healed the boy instantly. It’s a good thing that Nanika didn’t get out on the battlefield, because if she had, she could have easily defeated anyone in front of her. Well, this ultimately makes Nanika the strongest character of the Hunter x Hunter series.
