Top 12 Strongest Fishmen in One Piece (Ranked)

Fishmen are one of the strongest people straight up from the oceans. Together with the merfolks, they were ruling the seas, and now, many have come out and created their own history in the world of One Piece. We have seen some terrific Fishmen characters like Jinbe, Fisher Tiger, etc., so today, we decided to list the strongest Fishmen in the history of One Piece. So, without further ado, let us look at the rankings.

Spoiler Warning: This article contains spoilers about the Fishmen in One Piece. So, we suggest you watch the anime or read the manga to avoid ruining your experience.

12. Hack

Hack made his appearance in the Dressrosa arc (one of the best arcs in One Piece). And then, from there, we learned that he is a member of the Revolutionary Army, which is a big deal. Hack’s design is based on the Japanese soldier fish in line with his character. He has notable strength, which we witnessed in Dressrosa.

But what’s more special about him is that he is a highly skilled practitioner of Fish-Man Karate and Jujutsu. Hundredth Dan Hack has a variety of powers, but we haven’t seen them in complete action yet. That’s why we have kept him last on our list for now. Let’s see if he can prove us wrong with his powers, as the Revolutionary Army is making some serious moves now.

11. Arlong

I believe no One Piece fan could ever forget this character. It is the iconic Arlong the Saw who made the Arlong Park arc memorable with his character. Arlong was the captain of the Arlong Pirates, and before that, he was a member of the Sun Pirates along with Fisher Tiger, Jinbe, and others. He was indeed a strong villain and had the highest bounty in all of East Blue back then.

Since he is a saw shark fish-man, he took advantage of all his natural attacking features such as his wild teeth, claws, and sharp nose. This made him a terrifying villain at the start, and he was feared by many during his time. But in the end, he was knocked out by Luffy and as an early villain, he did a great job. We don’t know his current whereabouts, but we hope he can make a comeback.

10. Namur

Is it just me, or do you think that Namur looks like the son of Jinbe? Namur is a fish-man who made his appearance in the Marineford arc. He is a part of the Whitebeard Pirates, the commander of the 8th division. This is an incredible achievement and a testament to his powers, as we have seen how powerful Whitebeard’s commanders are.

We saw a glimpse of Namur’s powers in the war, but they were anime-only scenes. He appears to be a shark-human, and as a result, has powerful jaws and superior strength. But we have to wait for an official confirmation from Oda to see how powerful he actually is.

9. Hatchan

Hatchan was introduced as an antagonist and a member of the Arlong Pirates in episode 31. Before that, he was also a member of the Sun Pirates, like his leader Arlong. However, after the Arlong Park arc, Hachi befriended the Straw Hats, as seen in the Saboady Archipelago arc.

About his powers, Hatchan is the best swordsman from Fishman Island after Hyouzou. He uses a six-sword style (like Zoro’s three-sword style) since he is an Octopus Fishman in One Piece. He possesses great strength to wield heavy swords and is resilient to attacks, thanks to his rigid body.

Overall, he is one of the best fishmen we have seen in One Piece, and we are lucky to have him as an ally of the Straw Hats.

8. Wadatsumi

Wadatsumi, who is popularly known as the Large Monk, used to be a member of the Flying Pirates. But now, he is a member of the Sun Pirates after the events in the Fishman Island arc. His character is based on a giant tiger blowfish.

Being a Fishman, and that too having a gigantic size, his incredible powers primarily originate from those features. Don’t let his baby face confuse you, as he is insanely strong.

He can throw strong punches and carry enormous ships, and that’s how powerful he is. The special thing about him is that since he is a blowfish, he can inflate himself and further increase his size, which can be a nightmare for his enemies. He is one of the big fishmen we have seen and is a strong one indeed.

7. Hody Jones

Inspired heavily by Arlong, Hody Jones is a great white shark fish-man who leads the New Fish-Man Pirates. He served as one of the primary antagonists in the Fishman Island arc in One Piece.

He heavily resembled his inspiration, Arlong, both design- and character-wise. Everyone believed that Hody was much better than Arlong, as he was driven by his detestation, unlike Arlong’s greed. He was a strong fish man but became a monster when he started to abuse the energy steroids.

Even though Luffy made defeating him look easy, Hody was indeed a tough match for him. So, all in all, Hody was a worthy Fishman villain in One Piece.

6. Dellinger

Technically, Dellinger is not a complete Fishman instead, he is a hybrid of a human and a Fishman. As a result, he retains the aspects of a human and the fighting skills of the fishmen.

He is a main combatant of the Donquixote Pirates and is highly trusted by his leader, Doflamingo. Dellinger took part in capturing Dressrosa when he was only six years old. Over time, his prowess increased as he managed to take advantage of his fish-man features, including his big horns and sharpened teeth.

He was also amazingly fast, which greatly contributed to his combat skills. As the youngest member of the Donquixote Pirates, he shined as one of the strongest fishmen in the history of One Piece.

5. Fisher Tiger

Fisher Tiger is one of the legendary characters, not just among the Fishmen but in the whole world of One Piece. He was a sea-bream fish-man, and his legacy would continue to live on forever. He founded the famous Sun Pirates, which are still regarded as one of the greatest pirate crews of the Grandline.

Moreover, as an adventurer being caught up as a slave by the Celestial Dragons, he not only escaped from there but went back to Mary Geoise to free all other slaves. This man climbed over the red line with his bare hands and performed one of the most influential rebellious acts in history. Fisher Tiger freed all of the slaves, regardless of whether they were humans, fishmen, or any other race.

He is known to have immense strength and high endurance levels, and he proved so. Tiger won’t be forgotten, as he engraved his name in history by himself.

4. Sasaki

Sasaki of the Beast Pirates is a blue-spined unicornfish fish-man. He made his appearance in the Wano Country arc and is already one of the strongest fishmen we have seen. Sasaki is one of the members of the Tobiroppo and his enormous bounty tells a lot about his mighty powers.

He ate the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Triceratops devil fruit, which is an ancient zoan devil fruit that enabled him to transform into a Triceratops.

Being a fish man, he already had a great physique but his powers immensely improved, thanks to the devil fruit. We saw his spectacular strength in his battle against Franky. Even after receiving a thunderous blow from Franky’s weapons, he continued to fight him.

He also possessed armament and observation Haki, which we never saw him use. Even without them, he managed to prove why he is one of the strongest fishmen we have seen.

3. Kawamatsu

We have another fish-man based on puffer fish on our list, and this one’s different from Wadatsumi. Kawamatsu is a Japanese puffer fish Fish man introduced as one of Oden’s Nine Red Scabbards.

According to prior reports, Kawamatsu is not only a skilled samurai but also the strongest sumo wrestler in Wano Country. Even Kinemon acknowledged how well Kawamatsu wields a sword and the other scabbards. He can also employ observation and armament haki. It is noteworthy that he is capable of using Ryou, a sophisticated type of weaponry haki. He quickly rose to the status of one of the most powerful fishmen we have seen since arriving in Wano.

2. Jack

Jack in One Piece

Jack, sometimes referred to as Jack the Drought, was a terrifying character that we saw during the Zou storyline. He is a giant grouper fish man. Along with King and Queen, he is the third member of the Beast Pirates All-Stars. This serves as sufficient evidence of the destruction he can cause with his gigantic devil fruit abilities of Zou Zou no Mi, Model: Mammoth.

In his battle with the Minks in Sulong form, he demonstrated the value of his abilities and strength. He can also employ two forms of Haki. We respect his tremendous strength and endurance against the minks. He is without a doubt the second-best Fishman on the planet, but we don’t know where he currently is.

1. Jinbe

Jinbe in One Piece

Jinbe, a whale shark fish-man, also known as the Knight of the Sea, is a prominent figure in the One Piece world. He was formerly a Sun Pirate and later rose to Warlord status. Jinbe eventually teamed up with Luffy after resigning and became a vital member of the Straw Hats.

He presently serves as the Straw Hats’ helmsman. Jinbe is an expert when it comes to the Fishman Karate technique. He is skilled at using two Haki forms.

In his life, Jinbe has faced many powerful opponents and emerged victorious. His reward escalated significantly as a result of the attack on Onigashima and his combat as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is now legitimately the most powerful Fishman and a veteran pirate.

Is Nami a fishmen?

No! Nami is a human and does not belong to the Fishmen race.

Who is the strongest Fishman One Piece?

Jinbe of the Straw Hat Pirates is the strongest Fishman we have ever seen in One Piece.

Can a Fishman eat devil fruit?

Yes! A fishman too can eat a devil fruit and obtain its powers. For example, Jack of the Beast Pirates. However, doing so will rob them of their ability to swim like all the other devil fruit users. Since fishmen can breathe underwater, they can breathe but won’t be able to swim.
