Stranger Things has introduced us to many intriguing characters, and one of them is Will Byers, portrayed by Noah Schnapp. He has been a bit different than the boys of his age since the very start. Also, as the series moved forward, we get to see Will’s side, which he had been hiding from everyone, including his family. The fourth season also showcased his liking for Mike Wheeler, so it’s natural that the fandom wants to know if he ever confessed his feelings to his childhood buddy.

Will Byers never explicitly tells Mike how he feels, at least, not in words. Stranger Things Season 4 made it clear that he has strong romantic feelings for Mike, which he had always hidden when speaking with him. Will was familiar with Mike and Eleven’s relationship, and, as a good friend to both of them, he decided to set his feelings aside. However, he could never help control his body language, which clearly hinted that he was deeply in love with Mike.

Now, if we talk about a specific scene in which Will lost control of his feelings, you may remember the Van scene from the fourth season, where Will talked to Mike about Eleven. He told his friend how El sometimes felt misunderstood and different. While Mike believed he was speaking on El’s behalf, viewers realized the true feelings and meaning behind every word Will spoke.

Will was shy from the beginning, and he never realized his true identity until Season 5, which changed that for good. A lot has happened with him since he was dragged by the Demogorgon to The Upside Down in the first season. Initially, he was traumatized by it all, but in the final season, we see him moving on and accepting who he is. The primary thing that changed him was when he saw Robin with her girlfriend at the hospital. Later, when he talked to Robin, he got more clarity. Our boy finally decides to open up about his identity in front of his friends and family before moving ahead with their plan to kill Vecna.

Will stands before everyone, his head held high, talking about himself. He also says he has a crush on someone who is not a girl. However, he doesn’t call out Mike because he doesn’t want to risk losing their friendship by making it awkward.
