After teasing the smartphone over the last couple of days, Samsung has finally launched its triple camera packing Galaxy A7 in India. The device, which is the first of its kind from the company, features three rear cameras with the company’s Super Pixel technology for better low-light photography.

Priced at Rs. 23,990 for the base version, the new Samsung Galaxy A7 pakcs in a stunning 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display which is backed by an Exynos 7885 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked in at 2.0GHz. The top-end variant with the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 28,990.

The processor is complemented by either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of storage which can be expanded up to 512GB via the microSD card expansion slot.

The smartphone will go on sale on September 27 and 28 via Samsung Shop e-commerce portal, Flipkart and the new Samsung Opera House. Samsung says after September 28, the phone will be available on most other platforms. It remains to be seen whether that includes Amazon India as well.

The device packs in a substantial 3,300mAh battery which should be enough to help it last through the day and it runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s Experience UI on top.

While the Samsung Galaxy A7 is just like every other premium mid-ranger from the company, its triple rear camera setup really sets it apart from other competing devices in the market. The device packs in a 24MP f/1.7 primary sensor along with an 8MP f/2.4 ultra-wide angle sensor that has a 120-degree field of view and a 5MP f/2.0 sensor for depth perception.

The impressive camera hardware on the device is backed by a number of software features which will help users capture amazing pictures with relative ease.

With the help of Samsung’s Live Focus technology users will be able to capture stunning portrait shots and control the bokeh effect at a later stage, the AI Scene Optimizer functionality will allow the camera to automatically identify the subject in the frame and adjust the color profile, contrast and brightness to deliver the best shot. On top of that, Samsung’s Super Pixel technology will help users capture stunning low light images with an ample amount of detail and little to no noise.
