All Boss Fights in Resident Evil Requiem
The enemy variety in Resident Evil Requiem is superb, which means that there are two kinds of powerful foes. The first are special infected enemies that can do a lot more damage than standard zombies, while the second type are the more traditional boss fights. Below, you’ll find a list of every major boss in Resident Evil 9:
- The Girl
- Chunk
- Titan Spinner
- Super Tyrant
- Plant 43
- The Commander
- Victor
The Girl

- Character: Grace
- Boss Location: East Wing of the Care Center
- How to Beat: The Girl is scared of light sources, so make use of Molotov Cocktails and Torches to send her running.
The Girl is the ghoulish monstrosity that you’ll encounter multiple times while playing as Grace. She haunts the halls of the Rhodes Hill Care Center and will creepily jumpscare you as you’re skulking through the location.
Chunk

- Characters: Grace and Leon
- Boss Location: Two appearances in different parts of the Care Center
- How to Beat: While fighting Chunk as Grace, you’ll need to use 3 Hemolytic Injectors to take the boss down. On switching to Leon, it’s best to use the MSBG 500 shotgun placed just outside the boss room.
Chunk, as the name suggests, is an absolute unit of a boss. In fact, there are two Chunks, and these mutated brothers are hankering to feast on both Grace and Leon. Your encounter with the first brother will be largely straightforward, although the second will require plenty of firepower. As such, we recommend bringing along some of the best Resident Evil 9 weapons.
Titan Spinner

- Character: Leon
- Boss Location: At the start of the Raccoon City chapter
- How to Beat: Use the gas tanks scattered around the boss room to your advantage. Fire a shot from the Requiem revolver to stun the spider if it gets too close.
The Titan Spinner is quite literally a Giant Spider that scurries around in the combat area, attacking Leon from multiple angles. You’ll need to be incredibly mobile for this fight as the Titan Spinner also summons tiny spiderlings to catch you off-guard.
Super Tyrant

- Character: Leon
- Boss Location: The encounter triggers after you exit RPD
- How to Beat: Concentrate your fire on the exposed heart near its chest. Make sure to parry its rushing attack using the Hatchet.
Next up on the Resident Evil Requiem bosses list is an upgraded version of the franchise’s OG menace, Mr. X. There are some wonderful RE2 callbacks throughout this sequence, with the freshly-enhanced Super Tyrant being an even more formidable foe. Capcom could’ve taken this fight to the next level by adding Ada Wong in RE9 to amp up the nostalgia, but it still remains a memorable encounter.
Plant 43

- Character: Leon
- Boss Location: Found while making your way to the Ark, deep into Blackthorn Station
- How to Beat: Focus your fire on the buds on either side of the boss. Make sure to attack the bud in the middle when it opens up to stun Plant 43.
Right near the entrance to the Ark, you’ll come across a giant plant monster that’ll give Leon a run for his money. While most of its attacks can be telegraphed quite easily, the one you’ll need to watch out for is a quick snap where its middle head rushes in Leon’s direction. If you manage to avoid it, you’ll get a free shot at its biggest weak point.
The Commander/ Hunk

- Character: Leon
- Boss Location: Deep into the Ark
- How to Beat: This boss fight is all about CQB and parrying. You’ll have to master the parry timings in both phases, and then it’s a simple case of passing a QTE sequence to wrap things up.
Hunk, as franchise veterans will know, is a legendary operative of the Umbrella Security Service, who has appeared in older Resident Evil games. In Requiem, a boss who looks a lot like Hunk pops up during the Ark chapter, although the game refers to him as “The Commander.” Nevertheless, the ensuing boss fight is as epic as you’d expect, and it might even remind you of the CQB showdown against Jack in RE4.
Victor Gideon

- Character: Leon
- Boss Location: Depends on your chosen Resident Evil 9 ending
- How to Beat: Focus on the red buds on his body during both phases. Once you deal enough damage, you’ll be able to deliver a powerful blow using the Hatchet.
Here we are, folks. The final boss in Resident Evil Requiem is Victor Gideon – the man who kick-started these events by kidnapping Grace early on in the game. He’s got two phases, the first being slightly less grotesque than the other. During his initial form, you’ll want to avoid his sweeping tentacles and focus on the red weak points.
Once he transforms into a Nemesis-like monstrosity, concentrate your fire on the glowing pustules on its body, and it’ll go down eventually.
And just like that, all of Resident Evil Requiem’s bosses are down. Once you make it this far, it’s time to run back the adventure all over again to get a quicker completion time or save Leon’s life if you failed to do so initially. Let us know your verdict on the game in the comments below.
