Steeled Resolve: Corviknight Makes Its Debut

The main attraction is the introduction of the Corviknight evolutionary line in Pokemon GO. This Steel/Flying-type Pokemon starts as a Rookidee evolves into Corvisquire, and finally becomes Corviknight. You’ll need 25 Rookidee candy for the first evolution and 100 more for the second. During the event, evolving Corvisquire will give your Corviknight the exclusive charged attack Iron Head, which could make it a strong choice for battles. Pokemon GO Steeled Resolve Event Rewards

During the event, you can remove Frustration from your Shadow Pokemon using a Charged TM. This is a rare chance to improve your Shadow Pokemon’s moves, so check your collection and plan which ones you want to update.

Magnetic Lure Modules get a boost too. They’ll attract Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee. This is particularly useful if you’re trying to get enough candy for Corviknight, as you can set up a lure and catch multiple Rookidee in one spot.

The event brings exclusive moves that can strengthen your Pokemon in battles. These moves are only available during the event when you evolve specific Pokemon, so plan your evolutions carefully if you want these special moves.

  • Machamp learns Karate Chop (Fast Attack) when evolving Machoke
  • Feraligatr learns Hydro Cannon (Charged Attack) when evolving Croconaw
  • Quagsire learns Aqua Tail (Charged Attack) when evolving Wooper
  • Lickilicky learns Body Slam (Charged Attack) when evolving Lickitung
  • Corviknight learns Iron Head (Charged Attack) when evolving Corvisquire
  • Clodsire learns Megahorn (Charged Attack) when evolving Paldean Wooper

Steeled Resolve Egg Hatches

During the event, 2 km eggs will feature a special pool of Pokemon. You’ll have the chance to hatch Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, and the newly debuting Rookidee from these eggs. Both Shieldon and Mareanie can be hatched in their shiny variants, making these eggs particularly valuable for shiny hunters and those looking to add the new Corviknight line to their collection. Remember to use Super Incubators to hatch these eggs more quickly.

Best Tips for Pokemon Steeled Resolve

If you’re planning to participate in this event, here are some tips to help you get the most value:

First, focus on catching Rookidee and use Pinap Berries to double your candy. With the Magnetic Lure Module bonus, you can set up camp near a PokeStop and gather candy efficiently. Consider evolving two Corviknight since the monster shows promise in both the Great and Ultra Leagues. One for each league. Keep an eye on their stats, as PvP-optimal IVs often differ from perfect IVs.

Take advantage of the Frustration removal opportunity. This feature doesn’t come around often, so check your Shadow Pokemon collection and decide which ones need a moveset update. The event also includes Field Research tasks that give out useful items like Poke Balls, Revives, Super Potions, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon. Spin PokeStops to collect these tasks and complete them for extra rewards.

Remember, the event ends on January 26 at 8:00 PM local time, so plan your time accordingly to achieve your goals. That said, are you ready for Steeled Resolve? Let us know in the comments below!
