There are only a few ways to obtain Regidrago in Pokemon GO, and the easiest method is through Raid Battles. The game regularly rotates raid bosses each week, usually alongside special Pokemon GO events. Because of this, it’s important to keep track of the active events and current raid lineup so you don’t miss your chance to battle Regidrago.

Outside of raids, Regidrago can also appear as a reward encounter in the GO Battle League. However, it is only available there while Regidrago is active in raids, and the chances of encountering one are fairly low. Lastly, you can add more players using Pokemon GO Friend Codes and trade with friends who already own a Regidrago.

Can Regidrago Be Shiny?

Yes, Regidrago can be shiny in Pokemon GO. Regidrago has a base shiny rate of 1 in 20, like other legendaries in the game. This means you have a chance to find one shiny for every 20 Regidrago raids that you take part in.

Where is Regidrago Ranked in Pokemon GO?

Regidrago is a pure Dragon-type Legendary Pokemon that brings a unique mix of bulk and offensive pressure in Pokemon GO Trainer Battles. While it may not dominate every part of the meta, it still has its own niche thanks to its solid stats and strong Dragon-type moves. Here’s a detailed breakdown of how Regidrago performs across different areas of the game:

  • Raid Attacker: Regidrago isn’t a great raid attacker, especially when compared to other Dragon-type bosses. It struggles to keep up with stronger options like Mega Rayquaza, Palkia Origin, Dialga Origin, and Black Kyurem.
  • Gym Defender: As a Legendary Pokemon, Regidrago cannot be placed in gyms.
  • Dragon Type Attacker: Similar to raid attackers, Regidrago has the same status when it comes to the best Dragon-type attackers. It doesn’t even come close to the top meta pics that we’ve mentioned previously.
  • Great League and Ultra League: Regidrago performs better in Great League because of its CP scaling and extra bulk. In Ultra League, it shines the best thanks to its bulk and Dragon-type pressure with Dragon Breath, Dragon Energy, and Vise Grip.
  • Master League: Regidrago performs quite well in Master League with the standard Dragon-type moveset. However, it can be easily tackled with the top Pokemon of the league, like Dialga, Zacian, or even Groudon.
