How to Catch Mega Medicham in Pokemon GO

After defeating Mega Medicham in Pokemon GO raids, you’ll have a chance to catch regular Medicham. Remember that you can’t catch it in its Mega form, and you’ll need to use Mega Energy to evolve your own Medicham later.

Use the circle lock technique by holding down on your Pokeball until the catch circle reaches Excellent throw size, then wait for Medicham to attack. Release your throw just before the attack animation ends, ensuring your ball hits when the circle reappears.

A group of 2-3 Pokemon GO trainers is ideal for this raid. While experienced players with top counters might be able to solo it, having a small group makes the battle much more manageable and gives you more Premier Balls.

To get your own Mega Medicham, you’ll need 100 Mega Energy for the first evolution. After that, the cost decreases to 20 Mega Energy for subsequent evolutions. You can earn Mega Energy by completing Mega Medicham raids or walking with Medicham as your buddy (after you’ve Mega Evolved it at least once).

Can Mega Medicham Be Shiny?

Yes, you can catch a shiny Medicham from Mega Medicham raids. The shiny version features a beige body instead of white, and its signature red pants turn blue. The shiny rate for Mega raids is approximately 1 in 60, giving you a decent chance of encountering one if you do multiple raids during Pokemon GO events.

While Mega Medicham might not be the strongest Mega Evolution available, it’s still a useful addition to your collection, especially for players who enjoy PvP battles in the Great League. Don’t forget to use your free daily raid pass if you plan to add this Fighting/Psychic-type Pokemon to your team.
