Pokemon GO Lileep Spotlight Hour Time and Special Bonus
The spotlight hour for Lileep in Pokemon GO begins on August 13, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time.
If you’ve taken part in previous Spotlight Hours of Drilbur, Roggenrolla, and Wilbur, you are pretty familiar with it. However, if this is your first Spotlight Hour, then you will experience two things. First, you’ll see your entire Pokemon GO map scattered with Lileep.
This will allow you to capture this Pokemon over and over again for an hour. This will provide you with XP points, that help level up your character.
The second most important thing you’ll encounter is 2X catch candy per successful capture. This candy gets used to either power up your Pokemon or level them up along with Stardust. And, since you will be capturing Lileep, you’ll be getting double the Lileep candy. So if you want to take advantage of this, consider going out for a walk and capture as many Lileep as you can!
Pokemon GO Lileep Spotlight Hour: Best Tips to Catch
Now that you know what to expect from the upcoming Pokemon GO Lileep Spotlight Hour, here’s everything you should do to capture this monster successfully. Of course, if you’ve participated in previous Spotlight Hour, you already know the drill. But if you are new, here’s what to keep in mind:
1. Sweeten Those Capture Chances Using Razz Berry
Lileep has a 9% flee rate, which is a small number, and guarantees a successful capture per encounter. However, in the off-chance you do want a guaranteed capture of the Pokemon, use a Razz Berry. Razz Berry increases your capture chances against a Pokemon.
Furthermore, it is always a good idea to get rid of the berries given the inventory space is pretty small. You’ll get more of them while exploring. So, use those Razz Berries in the upcoming Spotlight Hour.
2. Use Your Daily Adventure Incense
Adventure Incense is another great item to use when you are venturing out in the Spotlight Hour. Keep in mind, that the Shiny Lileep will also appear during the Spotlight Hour. Though their spawn rates will be pretty small. So, if you are eyeing to catch yourself a shiny Lileep, certainly use an Incense Stick.
The good thing about Adventure Incense is that it replenishes every day and gives a 15-minute Pokemon Spawn Rate boost. Alternatively, you can buy adventure incense from the store using PokeCoins, which lasts for 1-hour. So if you have some spare PokeCoins, use them!
3. Grab a Lot of Pokeballs
I don’t think I need to explain this point in-depth. After all, if you are playing Pokemon GO, you already know the importance of Pokeballs in-game. These help you to catch as many Pokemon as you want, granted the balls are successful in overcoming the flee rate of the Pokemon.
So, stock up on some Pokeballs if you don’t have enough. You’ll find these by spinning PokeStops or finishing field research tasks at hand. If you do run out of Pokeballs, you can always visit a PokeStop and spin them, as they are plentiful spread across the vicinity.
4. Walk a Lot
The final suggestion from me if you are new to the Spotlight Hour and want to participate in this one is to simply walk. This is the best advice anyone can give you, as Pokemon GO completely relies on walking. So, keep walking to encounter and capture as many Lileep as you can.
Pokemon GO Lileep Evolution
So now let’s tackle another question many of you might have – can you evolve Lileep? After all, you’ll be capturing a lot of them, and you best take advantage of that. Fortunately, Lileep can be evolved in Pokemon GO.
It is named Cradily, and it is a Rock/Grass-type Pokemon. Coincidentally, Cradily is also one of the Pokemon featured in the Rocket gym leader Cliff’s flight.
So if you don’t want to go through the hassle of fighting the gym leader, this is the best alternative to that. All you need is 50 Lileep candies, and necessary Stardust in your possession to evolve your Lileep.
