Pokemon GO High Zaptitude Event: All Bonuses, Spawns, and More

Pokemon GO’s new weekly event is here. The High Zaptitude event replaces the Pinch Perfect event, introducing numerous additional bonuses. You can participate with other players and unlock exciting global bonuses. The event also features plenty of Electric Pokemon, spawning in the wild and hatching from eggs, making it a perfect opportunity to snag those rare finds. In this guide, you’ll get all the information regarding the Pokemon GO High Zaptitude event.

Pokemon GO High Zaptitude Event Start Date and Time

The High Zaptitude event in Pokemon GO was released on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, and will be available for 5 days. We have listed the start and the end times below.

• Start Date and Time: Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10 AM local time
• End Date and Time: Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 8 PM local time

Once the Pokemon GO event ends, you will no longer be able to take part and obtain the rewards.

Pokemon GO High Zaptitude Event Bonuses

The High Zaptitude event offers bonuses for hatching Pokemon from eggs and shiny rates. Here’s a list of them:

• During the event, there will be 1/2 Egg Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed in an Incubator
• There is an increased chance of hatching Shiny Tadbulb
• Event-themed new Field Research tasks
• Event-themed new Timed Research
• Ticket for Premium Timed Research

Make sure that you hatch your 2km, 10km, and Strange eggs using Incubators all the time. You can even purchase them from the in-game shop by spending PokeCoins.

Global Challenge

You can take part with trainers around the world during the High Zaptitude event and complete tasks to complete the Global Challenge and unlock certain level-based rewards.

• Level 1 Reward: 2× XP for catching Pokemon
• Level 2 Reward: 2× Stardust for catching Pokemon, debuts Wattrel and its Evolution, Kilowattrel in the game
• Level 3 Reward: 2× XP for hatching Pokemon, 2× Stardust for hatching Pokemon

Pokemon GO High Zaptitude Event Spawns

New Pokemon Debut

Wattrel and its evolution, Kilowattrel, are the two Pokemon debuting in the Pokemon GO High Zaptitude event. Wattrel is an Electric and Flying-type Pokemon, that evolves into Kilowattrel using 50 Wattrel candies. As a new Pokemon debuts, you can catch it to fill your Pokedex. However, the stats aren’t great, making it a poor choice for raids and PvE. Additionally, the shiny variant is unavailable in the game right now.
