- There are only two more chapters that will be released in a bi-weekly schedule in 2024.
Every fan following the One Piece manga knows that the main villain of the series in 2024 has been the hiatuses. We’ve been suffering from an unusual amount of breaks in the release schedule of the One Piece manga, and it looks like there is no end to it. The fans have been wondering if the manga will go on a break again, and recent reports suggest that the One Piece manga release schedule will continue to be sporadic; more breaks await us.
Even though Oda sensei apologized for the earlier breaks and remarked that he would work harder in the latest chapter’s note. Unfortunately, he is taking a break after Chapter 1133. To top it off, we have entered the holiday season, and Shonen Jump’s holiday breaks are also on the cards. Thus, the One Piece manga will receive only two new chapters in December, making it a biweekly release this month.
Here is the release schedule for the One Piece manga in the coming weeks:
- One Piece Chapter 1133: December 9
- Oda’s break: December 16
- One Piece Chapter 1134: December 23
- Shonen Jump Holiday Break: December 30
- One Piece Chapter 1135: January 6
- Shonen Jump Holiday Break: January 13
Creator Eiichiro Oda’s health issues and his involvement in One Piece Live-Action Season 2 have resulted in numerous breaks this year. The fans want the author to be in the best health, however, we are also crestfallen by the unexpected breaks that the manga has been taking frequently.
It seems as if the One Piece manga has been releasing bi-weekly in the entirety of 2024 due to the breaks, isn’t it? Anyhow it looks like we will be wrapping up 2024 with a total of 32 One Piece chapters, the same as in 2023. We hope the hiatus curse comes to an end this year, and 2025 turns out to be a great year for One Piece fans.
That said, let us know your thoughts on the upcoming breaks for the One Piece manga series in the comments below.
