Silver Axe, the Traitor Among Rocks Pirates

One Piece chapter 1157 opens up with the Rocks Pirates raiding the donation money off of an island. While the crewmates were fighting among themselves, the Marines surprisingly showed up on their door as if someone had tipped off their entire plan to them. Even a bewildered Whitebeard questioned the same, as the Marines arrived so quickly before the crew even began to escape.
While Rocks didn’t care about it and obliterated the Marine ships, this incident gave away a major hint that there was a spy among the Rocks Pirates who would soon go on to betray their captain.
The Silver Axe is a Marine theory surfaced online since his character’s introduction in the previous. Now, with Whitebeard wondering about a potential spy, it has become hard to dismiss this theory with all the evidence we have. First, Silver’s Axe character design has the X-mark written all over him, such as his glasses, tattoo, etc, which is very similar to X-Drake’s character design. If you forgot who X-Drake is, he is one of the super rookies who joined Kaido initially, but he was an undercover Rear Admiral in the Marines in reality.
As the character designs suggest, Silver Axe could be the grandfather of X-Drake, and their journeys have all the possibilities to mirror each other in the story. As I stated earlier, Silver Axe joined the Rocks Pirates of his own will. Rocks slayed an admiral and shaped up to be the ultimate threat to the World Government. Since then, the Marines could have assigned Silver Axe to go undercover and spy on the infamous pirate.
The final panel of One Piece chapter 1157 also teases that Shakky, the crown jewel of Hachinosu island, is about to be kidnapped by the World Government. However, we know that not a single Marine can step inside Hachinosu and abduct their coveted treasure. Therefore, it has to happen in the hands of someone who is already inside, and Silver Axe perfectly fits this profile.
If everything goes well, we might happen to see the much-awaited God Valley Incident in full extent in the upcoming chapters. We are certain that Oda will unveil the true nature of Silver Axe in the next chapter, as the kidnapping of Shakky is bound to happen in the story very soon.
