Minecraft 1.21.5 Release Date
The next Minecraft drop 1.21.5 is going to be released today, March 25, 2025 as announced in the Minecraft Live that took place three days earlier on March 22.
The Minecraft Winter Drop introduced the Pale Garden biome, Creaking mob, Resins, Eyeblossom flowers, and several new features into the game. Moreover, we were able to try out these features before release from the snapshots, previews, and pre-releases.
Next Minecraft Update 1.21.5 Name
Mojang has a fun way of introducing Minecraft drops by giving them cool names. The latest Garden Awakens update was themed around the new Pale Garden biome and the Creaking. After the Live event, Mojang officially announced the name of the next drop, which will be called Spring To Life.
The name is heavily justified as the recent Minecraft snapshots introduced us to new mob variants, including pigs, cows, chickens, and new flowers, including Wildflowers and Cactus flowers, trading changes, two new types of dry grasses, wolf sounds, and even the canceled mob, Fireflies. If that continues, we might get to see more rejected ‘mob vote’ mobs in the game.
Minecraft 1.21.5 Update Features
As discussed earlier, Mojang has changed the way Minecraft releases updates. While game drops are supposed to be smaller releases, Minecraft Spring to Life is a big surprise. That’s because it is just full of new features and upgrades to existing features.
As you read above, we have been introduced to the new variants of some of the oldest mobs in the game — pigs, cows, chickens, sheep spawning rules, two new flowers — Wildflowers and Cactus flowers, trade rebalance for Cartographers and Wandering Traders.
