Netflix adapted the East Blue Saga well in its first season, and the live-action earned praise from both the One Piece fandom and newcomers. How Many Episodes Are There in Live-Action One Piece Season 2?

The total episode count of live-Action One Piece Season 2 is expected to be eight episodes, the same as the first season. Netflix hasn’t officially disclosed the release date yet, but the staff did reveal the title cards for each episode, further confirming that the second season will feature just eight episodes.

The first season of One Piece live-action adapted a total of five arcs (Romance Dawn to Arlong Park arcs). Similarly, One Piece Season 2 will adapt the next five arcs, namely the Loguetown Arc, Reverse Mountain Arc, Whisky Peak Arc, Little Garden Arc, and Drum Island Arc. Arabasta arc, the final arc of the saga, will be completely adapted in One Piece Season 3, as Oda confirmed.

The episode titles for all eight live-action One Piece Season 2 episodes have also surfaced online earlier. Although all the episodes are dropping on March 10, Netflix hasn’t yet commented on whether these are the official titles. All the titles seem to be references to popular Hollywood movies. So, these can also be working titles made during production, so take them with a grain of salt for now:

Technically, this episode should have been the final episode of One Piece live-action Season 1, but the staff saved it for the second season. Before the Straw Hat Pirates sail to the treacherous Grand Line, they pay a visit to the place where the Marines executed the Pirate King. As usual, the crew will run into trouble, but this time against a Marine Captain, Smoker, and his assistant, Tashigi.

The big whale, Laboon, is no longer a secret, and it will be one of the first characters the Straw Hat Pirates meet after they cross the Reverse Mountain and enter the Grand Line for the first time. Here, the Straw Hats will also cross paths with the first set of Baroque Works agents who try to hunt down the giant whale.

Right after their adventures with Laboon, the new Baroque Works agents they met take the Straw Hat Pirates to a new town on Cactus Island. At first, everything in the town seems pretty happy and normal, but soon things start to take a sudden turn.

Following Whiskey Peak, the Straw Hat Pirates will sail next to the Little Garden Island, where the setting takes us back to a time when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. This is also when the second season of One Piece live-action will introduce two new important giant characters: Dorry and Brogy. The Straw Hats must resolve the problem between the two giants, which has been going on for over a century.

The Drum Island arc is teased to be covered in three episodes, and the first episode will mark the arrival of the Straw Hat Pirates and the beginning of their quest to find a doctor.
