Chizome Akagura, infamously known as Hero Killer: Stain, is one of the most menacing villains in the history of My Hero Academia. However, he isn’t your typical villain like Shigaraki or All For One in the MHA series. This vigilante is more of an anti-hero, and he has sided with All Might since the final war broke out. So, why did the notorious hero killer go out of his way to help the greatest hero before, and now in Armored All Might’s fight against All For One? Let’s find out.
Spoilers Warning: This article contains spoilers for Hero Killer Stain and Armored All Might vs All For One battle. Proceed with caution.
Hero Killer: Stain Truly Reveres All Might in MHA
Hero Killer Stain has always been an insurmountable threat to the heroes. He has killed over 40 heroes, staying true to his name. However, he doesn’t murder them for the fun of it or anything. In Stain’s eyes, gone are the days when heroes served people; nowadays, most of the heroes chase fame and glory over saving people. That is why he decided to cleanse the world of fake heroes, but in his mind, All Might was the only hero in the world.
That is why he has deep respect for only All Might among all the pro heroes. Of all people, it was Stain who rebuked All Might and reminded the greatest hero of who he truly is in the Dark Hero arc. After overhearing Todoroki and Ingenium’s conversation, Stain followed the trail of blood, and he knew that it was All For One by just the scent of the blood.
Hero Killer Stain Joins Armored All Might Vs. All For One Battle
In the opening episode, Armored All Might used all the different equipment based on the quirks of the Class 1-A students to deal massive damage and cornered All For One. Despite all the insane amount of damage he received, All For One exploited the rewind quirk. In a matter of minutes, AFO turned the tables and gained the upper hand against All Might. Thankfully, Stain arrived in time and used AFO’s blood to activate his quirk “Bloodcurdle” and paralyzed All For One at the end of episode 1 of My Hero Academia season 8.
If you are wondering why he decided to join this ultimate battle, the answer is simple: he wants All Might to live. As I mentioned earlier, All Might is the only person who lived up to the level of a true hero. And when his only hero’s life was in danger, he decided to rush in without any second thoughts. Stain was right on time as All Might ran out of all the quirk-based equipment, and AFO had him cornered.
If it wasn’t for the stain, All For One would have gone for the kill without a second thought. At the end, the hero killer saved the life of the greatest hero and didn’t let his life go in vain. While it seems like All Might has the advantage now, don’t underestimate the power of AFO, and wait for the next episode to watch the chaos unfold.
