In this guide, we’ll break down all the new team-ups and changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5. With that said, let’s begin.

All New Team-Ups & Changes in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5

As per the Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 patch notes, we will get six new team-up abilities. The team-ups include popular characters like Jeff and Venom, and even less utilized ones like Black Widow. Here is a breakdown of all the new Marvel Rivals team-ups:

1. Symbiote Shenanigans

Venom shares his symbiote with Jeff, turning the duo into a powerful support combo. Venom becomes the Team-Up anchor, gaining 150 bonus health. On the other hand, Jeff creates a symbiote chain between the two, healing any allies linked by the symbiote tendrils over time.

2. Operation: Microchip

Punisher upgrades Black Widow’s Red Room rifle, giving it a powerful boost. With Punisher as the Team-Up anchor, Widow gains the ability to fire a charged power beam. Once activated, her shots can pierce through enemies and hit multiple targets, making her even deadlier as a Marvel Rials Duelist in battle.

3. Chilling Assault / Ice Arrow

Luna Snow enhances one of Hawkeye’s arrows with icy power, letting it pierce through terrain. When activated, Hawkeye’s next shot can travel through cover and has a growing chance to freeze enemies in a small area of effect. The farther the arrow flies, the stronger the freeze effect.

4. Rocket Network / Tech Pals

With Rocket as the Anchor, Peni Parker gains a second Bionic Spider-Nest that works alongside her original one, though it spawns Cyber Webs and Spider Mines with a smaller AoE. When Peni is the Anchor, Rocket’s Battle Rebirth Beacon also deploys a nest that releases Cyber Webs and Spider Mines, mimicking her Spider-Nest ability.

5. Stark Protocol / Nano Armament

With Iron Man as the Anchor, Ultron upgrades his primary attack using Stark tech. His laser shots now pierce through enemies and allies. The piercing blast damages enemies while healing teammates in their path.

6. Jeff-Nado

When Jeff and Storm combine their Ultimates, they unleash the Jeff-Nado. Jeff swims in a large storm vortex around Storm, creating a massive AoE that pulls in enemies. Trapped opponents take continuous damage while being chomped by Jeff, then get spat out once the Ultimates end.

Alongside the additions, the Gamma Charge team-up ability is reworked in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5. With the new change, Hulk and Namor will no longer have Iron Man on the team. This is the same team-up from Season 2 that removed Doctor Strange. NetEase Games seems to be trying to avoid Hulk’s Gamma Power being misused by characters that are hard to target during a fight.

Removed Team-Ups in Marvel Rivals Season 2.5

Just like the Season 2 update, with the new season, Marvel Rivals is also removing some team-ups. In Season 2.5, four past team-ups are going away. Remember that the developers can rework and reintroduce these combinations whenever they want. With that said, here’s the list:

  • Chilling Charisma (Luna Snow + Jeff the Land Shark)
  • Allied Agents (Hawkeye + Black Widow)
  • Ammo Overload (Rocket Raccoon + The Punisher)
  • Symbiote Bond (Venom + Peni Parker + Spider-Man)

That ends our list of all the new Marvel Rivals Season 2.5 team-ups and changes. Which team are you going to rock with your duo? Do tell us in the comments below.
