Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya Incident Arc Release Date and Time

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is confirmed to have a total of 23 episodes. This season is split into two cours to release the anime adaptation of two of the best arcs in JJK. The first cour features the Hidden Inventory/ Premature Death arc, which just ended with a total of 5 episodes.

Also known as Gojo’s Past arc, we saw him dreaming about his past. It includes the battle between Gojo and Toji Fushiguro as well as how Gojo and Geto’s friendship ended, and they went in different directions. Ever since then, fans are eagerly waiting to witness the start of another mindblowing arc, the Shibuya Incident arc. This arc will start from episode 6 of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, which will be released on August 31, 2023. The release time for JJK episode 6 is 11:56 PM JST, as confirmed by an official tweet.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2: A Month-Long Break with Fillers

As you might have noticed, JJK season 2 episode 5 aired on August 3, 2023. In line with that, the 6th episode should have been scheduled to release on August 10, 2023. Instead, season 2 will continue on August 31, 2023.

If you are wondering why such a big break in between the two cours, I have the answer for you. The staff has decided to show us a recap of Season 2’s first cour as well as Season 1 in the upcoming weeks. There is also another break on 24th August, where the latest episode won’t be available to stream as there is another special program airing in Japan.
