Maru’s Ritual of Harmony Gives Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo a Beautiful Ending

First of all, it’s important to understand that Maru didn’t basically exorcise the cursed spirits from Earth. In fact, he altered the structure of Cursed energy altogether, which is sort of a healing rather than an extermination. Now, what this means is that the future generation will have very weak Cursed Energy. So basically, he nerfed the cursed energy in future generations so there won’t be any conflict. At the same time, Maru changed the soul colors of every newborn Cursed Spirits, Rumelians, and Kalyans. Because of this, Cursed Spirits won’t be considered as Kalyans by the Rumelians.

Moving on, there’s one more matter to attend to: Kalyans. The higher-ups ask Maru and Cross what exactly they should do about Kalyans, since these creatures are also cursed spirits. Also, let’s not forget that after Maru changed the color of the souls, Kalyans won’t consider the future generation of the Rumelians as their own, so they will start eating them. And after talking for a while, the council comes to a decision that they won’t abandon Kalyans, because these creatures have been a significant part of their community. But of course, this decision also comes with the promise that they won’t let Kalyans hurt anyone.

Also, just so you know, Maru’s technique worked in a way that it sort of revived Cross, Tsurugi, and healed Yuka. So yeah, you can say that manipulating the souls of individuals can do some wonderful things. (See Mahito? That’s how you handle a great power like Soul Manipulation.)

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 25 Shows Yuji Meeting Up With a Familiar Face

Anyway, after Maru’s Ritual of Harmony, Yuji meets up with a familiar face – Yes, we are indeed talking about Nobara. Also, Yuji meets Nobara along with Panda. I know, it’s a lot to take in, but Gege, being Gege, decided to bring back two fan-favorite characters from the original series in the final chapter of Modulo.

Regardless, Yuji wants to meet Nobara so they can deal with any cursed spirits as soon as they appear. Basically, weak cursed spirits may continue to leak (in single digits) even after Maru’s ritual, but Yuji plans on dealing with all of them because they get any stronger. To do that, Yuji wants to track any cursed spirits by following the bloodlines of people born with Heavenly Restrictions.

Also, given that Yuji will continue to live on for 300 more years, he is the perfect candidate to scrap the leftovers after the ritual. In fact, Yuji wants to become a cursed object after he dies. Why, you may ask? Well, it’s simple: by becoming a cursed object, Yuji can protect humanity from any sort of cursed spirit for centuries. So, you could say that Yuji will be immportal cursed object like Tengen. What’s interesting is that if Yuji is able to achieve this, which he will, the sorcerers will stop being born.

Earth, a Perfect Safe Haven for Simurians

Once all that is over, Maru, Cross, Tsurugi, and Yuka continue to hang out with each other. In an interesting turn of events, the humans are actually coexisting with the aliens. In fact, you can see the aliens playing Baseball. Sure, Maru was scared that the higher-ups at the Simurian ship would sentence him to death because of his un-sanctioned action in favor of the human race. But it turns out that the Simurians don’t care about that. In fact, they care about the fact that the cursed energy within them and the humans won’t lead to conflict anymore.

Honestly, it’s a rather complicated end to the story, but at the same time, it’s brilliant. If you wish to read the final chapter of Jujutsu Kaise Modulo, you can read it officially on Viz Media and Manga Plus.
