JJK manga readers were shocked when Gege Akutami dropped the twist that the cursed spirits, which human sorcerers have been exorcising for generations, are actually Kalyans who are deeply connected with the Simurians. A confrontation between the Simurians and humans was inevitable, and it started on a somewhat peaceful note in the new chapter. However, it didn’t take long before things went downhill fast in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter 12.
Spoilers Warning: This article contains spoilers for the relationship between Humans and Simurians. Proceed with caution.
A Human Sorcerer Shoots Cross in JJK Modulo Chapter 12
Surprisingly, Usami and Jabaloma of the Simurians handled this unexpected matter on a peaceful note. Tokyo has become the only place infested with cursed spirits in the JJK Modulo timeline. Therefore, a great purification of the curses was taking place in Tokyo, which directly triggered Boro’s third eye, and the Simurian discovered that humans had been killing Kalyans, aka cursed spirits, all this time.
In this chapter, Usami, Jabaloma, and Cross swiftly go to the Tokyo region to put an end to the rising tensions between the two species. Earlier, everyone remarked that the cursed spirits and Kalyans are indistinguishable. However, Cross emphasises that if the cursed spirits are indeed true kalyans, then the mental toll it would have taken on the Simurian’s mind would have been significantly worse after the tear ran out of their third eye.
In the end, Cross comes to the conclusion that the cursed spirits aren’t the same Kalyans they revere. Thanks to Cross resolving the urgent matter, Usami and Jabaloma exchange apologies and decide to take a break for now. During this moment, a human sorcerer mistakenly thinks Cross is reaching for a weapon inside his dress and shoots Cross out of the blue.
Cross is in a terrible shape with multiple bullets in his body. With one of their own getting attacked by humans, the Simurians cannot let this matter slide. The enraged Simurians remark that they will kill every single sorcerer here, despite Jabaloma trying to stop the accidentally provoked war. As the human sorcerers and Simurians are about to begin their war, Dabura arrives on the battlefield in the end.
Dabura’s current intentions remain unclear at the moment. However, the special grade’s mere presence sends a chill down everyone’s spine. The worst thing we feared has finally happened in the Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo manga. A war has broken out between the humans and Simurians. To top it off, Dabura, a Sukuna-level threat, is also here.
I don’t think Usami or any other human can reason with the Simurians and negotiate a peaceful resolution to the accident anymore. Therefore, we need to wait one more week to see how things will unfold from here now that a war has broken out. That said, do you think Dabura will stop the Simurians or lead the war from now on?
