Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 13 is finally out, and let’s just say that it’s the most surprising chapter of the series so far. In the previous chapter, we saw how Cross was shot in a moment of desperation and fear. Up until now, humans have done everything to maintain peace with Simurians, but his incident puts humanity in a difficult situation. Of course, we knew that there would be some consequences of Cross getting injured, and well, let’s just say that Chapter 13 showed us some of the dark consequences. But other than that, what surprised fans the most was the shocking return of a fan-favorite JJK character.

Chapter 13 of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo begins with Maru standing over Cross’s body. Yes, we are saying body because the chapter sort of implies that he is dead. Of course, he might still be alive, but since it’s Gege’s story, let’s assume the worst.

Maru is clearly shocked, but he doesn’t do anything. Dabura, on the other hand, instantly cuts off the arm of the person who shot Cross. Usami tries to stop Dabura using his Cursed Speech, which, we all know, is quite powerful, but guess what? It doesn’t do anything to Dabura. Instead, Usami’s throat starts to crush, and Dabura moves as if nothing has happened.

Usami still tries to calm down Dabura, but then, Dabura asks Usami to sacrifice his subordinates as payment for what happened to Cross. But Uami asks only to take his life, and right then, Dabura calms down and starts to move away. Before he goes away, Dabura asks the Japanese government to stop exorcising cursed spirits, which are Kalyans for the Simurians.

The Japanese government obeys Dabura’s request, and no one exorcises cursed spirits, which, well, creates a mess all over the country. Some people are secretly getting rid of weak spirits, but still, the exorcising has stopped in a broader sense.

Now, while all this is happening, we see Nobara, who gives a testimony about Yuji. She reveals that immortality has been a curse for Yuji. While Yuji still lives on, he has seen the deaths of everyone he loved. He is broken, walking the streets without any purpose. Oh, also remember how Yuji’s grandfather wished for Yuji to have a good death, with his loved ones standing by him in his last moments? Well, that wish never came true because Yuji still lives, even though he doesn’t want to, especially after losing everyone and everything he ever loved.

Of course, we don’t see much of Nobara, but her return is still surprising for a lot of JJK fans. Also, the fact that she reveals more information about Yuji is exciting. Now, we truly can’t wait to see Nobara making another appearance in Modulo, but more than that, we can’t wait to see Yuji making a full-fledged return in the series.
