Fortunately, Mortal Kombat does have full crossplay and cross-platform between PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Furthermore, the game also had crossplay previously on its previous launches. However, with Mortal Kombat 1, they’ve also brought in cross-platform play, allowing players on each platform to play in casual and ranked matchmaking.

Mortal Kombat calls this system Krossplay to coincide with the game’s theme. So, if you have a Warner Bros ID and the game is on any platform, you can cross-platform with it without any problems! And yes, there is cross-progression in the game, called Kross-Progression, allowing you to progress through the games!

A good thing about Mortal Kombat 1 is that you have proper cross-progression between all the game versions. The only exception to this is the cross-progression on Nintendo Switch. You won’t get to use the cross-progression if you have a Nintendo Switch version. Now, here’s how you enable cross-progression in Mortal Kombat 1:

  • First, visit the WB Games website and create a WB Games account.
  • Go to your account settings and select the connections option.
  • Under connections, log in to either your PS5 or Xbox Series X/S account where you own Mortal Kombat 1.
  • First, make your WB Games account, and click on account settings
  • Then, under settings, move to the connections option and connect your PS5 or Xbox Series account

That should be it! With this, Mortal Kombat 1 will carry over any edits you make, gear you unlock, ladder progression, and Kombat League across every platform. You don’t have to grind on each platform to reach your progress separately.
